As someone who has fully supported this brand for a long time, I can confidently say that this hydrating styling gel is a must-have for anyone serious about the health of their curls. This is an unsponsored review, but I want to share how much this product has transformed my hair routine. The gel delivers on its promise of creating elongated curls with a flexible hold that lasts all day. I love that it smoothes, hydrates, and holds in just one step, making my styling process so much easier. The mineral-rich bamboo extract is a standout ingredient, providing a resilient yet pliable hold that helps build style memory while protecting against breakage. My hairdresser has used this product on my hair for a few years now and I always loved how it turned out so I finally bought my own bottle. It's a really slippery gel that holds onto hair really well. It works best with very wet hair. A little bit goes a long way and if you use too much, it can flake a bit as your hair dries. The scent is subtle but very fresh and clean.

I think this just became my favorite hair product ever. I love the hold, and the fact that my curls last all day, and by day 2 i just have to dampen my hair a bit to bring them back. Not a lot of frizz, especially since I live in a humid are. Since I have fine hair, I don't use too much. I will say it is rather small for how much it costs. One of my most expensive products, but I'll have to make it last.

Update 5/25/2025: I just bought the 64 oz refill pouch. This is my main gel. Used with a lot of water. It's very moisturizing believe it or not. I style my hair dripping wet. And I put on about five pumps of this in the shower or under a spray, work it through and then add water and work it through each strand. Then over that I add another gel and do the same thing — either I Create Definition, I Create Lift, I Create Volume, or Olaplex Number 9 Serum which is really moisturizing. The key is not to stint on water. Use this product without enough water and it really is very stiff. Not that great. With water, it's perfect. And even with my hair dripping wet it only takes half an hour or less to diffuse because I'm not using oils or creams. Update: added photo Original review: The only issue I have with Innersense styling products is that I never know which one to use because they're all pretty great. It mostly depends on the length of my hair. I tend to use a combination of two whichever ones I use. This product I got the hookup from my hair stylist as is usual with Innersense. And it's really nice. I have to keep my hair short now because as I age it has thinned. And with short hair I need a stronger curl hold. If I don't have it, I have to refresh the curls with a little damp water + product every 2- 3 days. When my hair was longer I could go for up to a week without refreshing it with water, just a little cream or a tiny bit of oil to smooth. What I like about this product is that it gives me more hold, tighter and better than I Create Hold. The feel is stiffer, but I don't really mind that. I don't have to use a lot, in fact, the less the better. It doesn't pay to use more. It works best if I use a little Quiet Calm Curl Control, or the Inner Peace cream as a leave in underneath it. I'm rating it four stars only because I haven't used it for very long. It's definitely 4.5 at this point.

My new go to product (with I Create Hold) for styling and defining my very coily natural hair. I LOVE the look! Also, very hydrating. Great value for the money. Once I got a feel for the product I realized that a little can go a long way. Unless I drench my coils in the shower, there is no need to reapply daily. I mix with about 25% I Create Hold for the staying power. (Experiment with the best blend for your hair). I discovered that using I Create Hold by itself resulted in more shrinkage than I liked. This product hydrates, defines AND elongates (my hair). Secure with a silk scarf at night. In the morning, spritz with water or a very quick dip under the shower, reshape and awaken coils, and you’re on your way.
