So fun to write with & love the grip and ink!
Great pen. It's so easy to write with and the ink glides well on the page. I would highly recommend it. And it's plastic so it it really light weight.

Pleasantly Surprised
I’ve always been suspicious of refillable cartridge rollerball pens as an avid fountain pen user; however I saw videos that raved about this specific instrument and I am very impressed. Dare I say I almost prefer this as a daily writer. Schneider very much disproved the so-called inconsistency with cartridge style rollerballs, I give this an A+ all around. Very nice weight when posted; it is on the lighter side, however, as I mentioned when posted it compliments the textured ergonomic grip, which is also a great feature. It is on the larger side, however once again, the weight does not make it cumbersome. The cap snaps securely. Ink flows well and I’ve perhaps had only one false start; otherwise consistent flow. Very well engineered and top quality again from Schneider. Takes an international cartridge therefore colors are not difficult to find! I included a standard retractable gel pen for size reference. A great purchase and addition!

I think I got an odd pen
I had some long standard ink cartridges (2.6mm bore size), Pelikan 4001/GTP/5 to be exact, and thought this pen would be fine with the long cartridges. Cartridge wiggled and eventually leaked inside the barrel. Ok, sometimes that happens if the cart isn't fully inserted.Removed the cart, cleaned up the pen, and tried reinstalling the cart. No matter how hard I pressed, it just would not stick. It always wiggled, and that movement will eventually cause it to dislodge, and the barrel will fill with ink.Tried a standard converter, thinking I had a bad cartridge. Rare, but it happens. Again no stick and so loose it came off. I know the converter is good because I took it out of another pen.Maybe it needs a bigger barrel to not wiggle? So tried the only other converters I had, the ones for Chinese pens. Tried a Jinhao converter, 3.4mm bore size, which is the Chinese ink cartridge standard. Guess what, it worked. Snug fit, won't come loose because it's a tight enough fit that the converter doesn't wiggle.I think I got a lemon. Whatever plastic is supposed to keep the barrel snug isn't working or wasn't made right. The Jinhao converter happens to fit the diameter for the grip section. Plus, the bore size is larger than the required 2.6mm. The barrel barely goes over the converter, so it wasn't designed for the larger Chinese ink carts or converters. It's just pure luck that the 5mm outside diameter fits the Schneider Ray grip section.

Works with my fountain pen ink
I've only had the pen for half a day, but so far I really like it. I have several fountain pens, but don't like to fly with them. I bought the mini monteverde converter for this rollerball and it works great. I'm currently using Noodler's Air Corp Blue-Black ink. It started out a little scratchy, but now it feels good. I've tested it with Mnemosyne, Leuchtturm, and regular copier paper. It works great on the good papers, and it's acceptable on the cheap stuff (the Noodler's ink is pretty wet and tends to bleed).

Really good, smooth, skip free and uses standard cartridges
Cartridge rollers such as this pen use fountain pen style ink and this pen uses that ink in standard size ink cartridges. That makes it very cheap to use long term. It is quite a wet pen compared to some disposable liquid ink roller-ball pens so I doubt that it would work well for left handed folks but I like the extra smoothness that comes with that. The pen is quite broad and comfortable to hold but it is a lot lighter than most similar sized pens and I like that as well. You can use this pen with a standard sized international cartridge or with a short one. In the latter case, there is enough room in the body to hold a second spare cartridge so you can easily swap over if you run out halfway through the day. The only problem with that is that the spare cartridge will move about and you can feel that as you use the pen. If that troubles you then I would suggest the use of a small spring or a tiny ball of tissue to damp it out.Pilot and Stabilo make similar pens that are a slightly better writing experience but which are not quite as nice to hold.I would rate this pen as being on a par with inexpensive to moderately priced fountain pens.I use this as a day to day pen and will happily buy another in a few years time when the roller-ball mechanism is worn.

A good, basic, everyday pen
It’s a good, basic, everyday pen! It looks elegant, but it’s sturdy and won’t leak.

Great pen bad description
This pen does not come with ink. The description says royal blue erasable. First, I have never seen heard or experience erasable fountain ink. Second it’s not included. That aside, this is an I she ious product. I love fountain ink but dislike the fountain tips. This solves the problem. Smooth lines, takes a little while to get ink flowing but that’s really about the ink you put in.
