Science rockets!
We used them to show chemical reactions by launching them into the air. They worked great! Great seal and the plastic moved enough to cause it to shoot about 25 feet into the air! Will probably be buying again next year.

Odd uses include....
Every week I have separated out money from my monthly checks and so what I do is put in 20 to $30 in the container and put it in a closed box. Then once a week I will shake it up and draw one out if there's money in it I can either save it or spend it and then it goes back in the box for the next week. Now also I can also add to the container more money so it could end up being worth quite a bit if I can push myself not to spend it.

Great for holding counters
I purchased these after I saw another math teacher using them to sort her supplies. These are perfect for holding double-sided counters and now I have a class set already organized when I want to pass them out.

I use these for Alka-seltzer rockets for my science class
I teach a summer science class and have been using these clear Fuji film style film capsules for my Alka-seltzer rocket activity. These have worked great. The elementary students do sometimes have trouble removing the lids. However, you can't use the old style film capsules where the lid goes over the top. You need these kind where the lid sinks into the capsule and sits flush. The lids do have grooves around the side similar to a quarter, which does provide some grip to remove it. So far, these capsules have worked great and provided a nice seal with which to conduct the experiment:1/4 Alka-seltzer tablet1/3 water (allowing room for the tablet to dissolve and create air pressure)Flip it over with the lid down and stand back for it to launch. You'll sometimes still see some tablet residue as it may not fully dissolve before the air pressure causes the lid to pop--sending it flying up to 20-30ft high. :)

Work great for film canister rockets
Purchased June 2020 Sold by: Jovitec UsThese worked great for film canister rockets with alka-seltzer tablets. We did not use the full 30 but maybe 15 of them. Only one of the 15 lids didn't have that great of a seal. The price point was great. Helped to keep this event activity very low cost!

Very handy
They are not Kodak quality, but they will work satisfactorily for most tasks. I was a darkroom assistant for three years. I've used film cans for all sorts of things from holding medication to sugar/salt/pepper shakers to using them as lamp diffusers, spare fuse holders. There's a small rack in the house full of sand I collected around the world.... in film cans. For the price these are very good quality, the lids are symmetrical and snaps together very rigidly. Great containers for all sorts of things
I bought these to use for coffee while backpacking. One canister holds 1.5 tablespoons instant espresso, 1 teaspoon sugar and a pinch of salt, which makes a perfect (for me) 12 ounce cup of caffeinated heaven. I've also found them to be ideal for many other bits of gear. I have a small sewing kit in one, ibuprofen in another and also use them for spices and other dry ingredients. They are not reliably watertight, so not great for liquids. The caps on all of them fit well and (for now at least) stay on securely. I have a bunch of old ones (that originally came with film in them) where the caps have worn a bit, so I expect the same with these when they get to be 10+ years old.
