Just about perfect
Back to basics! Simple, does the job, no useless bells and whistles. Feels sturdy (like I won't smash it with my first attempt at Snooze). Has all the features I want and none of the junk I don't want. Nice easy-on-the-eyes green numbers, big but not too big, not too dim not too bright. Snooze button with optional light-up option for it. You actually have to move switches--good firm switches--to activate the time-setting buttons. That means you can smack the snooze button without worrying about accidentally resetting the time, or activating a radio, or an Ipod, or a dual alarm*, or a projection, or the weather, or nature sounds, or..... I don't want the bridge of the Starship Enterprise. I just want a decent freakin' alarm clock that's easy on the wallet. I never even use the radios on clock radios, but it's all I could find until now! This has a 9-volt battery backup. It plugs in and doesn't run just on batteries. Decent length cord. Loud but not deafening beep, 9-minute snooze that repeats at least several times. Distinctive snooze button look and feel, so you don't have to hunt for it. What's the point of a snooze button if you have to sit up in bed just to find it without activating a hundred other features?!Decent weight for such a small thing, especially with the battery in it. Yes, I was surprised by how small it is, no bigger than a fat donut with an end sliced off. But, that works for me. The only improvement would be rubber non-slip feet. It isn't top heavy, but is small enough that it might get knocked off the table. It feels solid enough, though, to survive that just fine (at least on carpet... but who in their right mind has cold marble or tile floors right next to their bed). You wouldn't believe how many clocks I've been through, or looked at, the last few years that had incredibly stupid, useless or extravagant features. *And what's with dual alarms, anyway? Pointless unless you have twin beds with a table in between. Even then, why put your own alarm near your partner's head? And if you, like most couples, sleep in the same bed, you have to reach over your partner to turn it off...probably waking them up in the process. Duh! Save your money and just buy two of these; one for each side of the bed!Basic. Well-built. Simple; no User Manual required! Finally, somebody gets it! Thanks, RCA!I rarely rave about a product, but it's about time some real thought went into providing a basic quality product, instead of just flimsy, poorly-designed, gadget-laden junk.

AMMMMMMAAAZZZZING DEAL AND VALUE!
Amazing product. The Product is amazing as it has a big display where you can see the numbers. When I turn off the lights the display automatically knows to turn on a dim almost glow in the dark light. The snooze button is back and has a nice click feel to it. On top of that the alarm clock works on two AAA batteries and the third battery is back up. The sound of the alarm is very impressive as it starts with one beep then it turns into two beeps. After that it turns into three beeps and then it continuously makes loud noise until you wake up. One thing I hate about alarm clocks is setting them up. My old RCA I bought 10 years ago as a painter set up. This one is very easy as you have a master selector switch and then that controls the exact button and function. If you’d like to set the alarm you switch to alarm and then you can change the alarm Siri simple and took me 30 seconds to set it up. The added benefit is that it displays the temperature and it also displays the alarm time in the upper right hand corner and even the date it’s a very multi use clock and very well priced at $10 I will be buying another few for family and friends.

Good Timepiece
We like the small size for it's fit on our bedside table, very clear numerals, and sound selections.

Excellent clock, easy to read, small and unobtrusive, but the numbers aren't too small to see, even for a myopic like me.
Perfect little clock which is easy to use. We keep these near television sets so we can see what time it is (for our programs) -- bright enough to see with the TVs on, but not so bright as to be annoying. I don't even notice it, until I look directly at it to check the time. I like the fact that it is easy to reset. This latest one was to replace one that was the devil to reset. We loose power frequently in our FL winter home, just for seconds. I don't want to have to struggle to reset the time. I would like it in the bedroom, too, but have the expensive name brand clock radio - CD player in there, so not needed. I would use it there if I didn't have something else. I am going to get another for our guest bedroom. Besides, the green color is nice, not overpowering. I HATE the ones with red numbers. They are creepy and evil looking to me. Highly recommend this nice little unobtrusive clock. It is a very good value.

Garbage
UPDATE: After using for a couple of months, I can say this is garbage. It actually loses time, about one minute per month! Meanwhile, the time set button no longer works, so it can't be regulated nor updated for Standard Time. Do not waste your money on this clock. The good: The digits are red LEDs. This is important in a bedroom as the absurdly popular Blue LEDs and green ones has been shown to interfere with sleep. The dimmer works, and the digits are large. The NOAA feature is a nice touch. Otherwise, this is a compellation of poor design (like many products today). Uses AAA batteries as the backup, a peeve of mine as AAA cost as much as AA and only last 1/3 as long. I used Lithium, so that should help a bit. The controls are tiny buttons, not well marked, and the markings will likely wear off in a year or so. If you want to memorize the manual to learn the programming, have at it. It is a bear to set. It has an external input so you can run the sound from your cellphone through it. Why? Your phone has much better sound. It has presets for your AM and FM stations, which is a very good thing since it is hard to tune, but you have to menu through the bands to get there. I am basically using it as a clock with NOAA for now. Note: this is not a cheap unit, but I paid extra to get the red LEDs.

Excellent highly recommend. Old Skool retro style with all of the modern features!
Excellent, perfect for what I wanted. Love the white noise sounds of rain, water etc. - nice touch. Finally a clock radio where by adjusting the time is not a hassle. Highly recommend.

Perfect for what I needed it for.
The school bus I drive doesn't have a clock. I really need to know the correct time to drop off/pick up the passengers. This battery operated clock is perfect as it's dark in the mornings and with it's low level optional always on backlight, and large digits, it's just bright enough. I velcrowed the clock to the dash and as it's not too bright I don't find it distracting. If I need it brighter I just touch the snooze button and it gets really bright for a few seconds. Cons: You have to be looking at the screen at a certain angle, or you won't see the numbers. Once you find that angle it's fine. I left it in the bus overnight at -30 C and the numbers were only partially visible, and it lost about a minute. In fairness, not too many electonics would function well at that temperature. I now take it out of the bus at nights. I recommend this clock for situations where you don't have electricity but need to see the numbers in a low lever backlight that can be always on and senses darkness.

Product Review
Very good product, value for money with lots of features available like date, month, temperature along with alarm, back light and obviously the time display. Very much visible with a excellent display screen and glows at dark.
