Excellent! Sturdy, convenient, and LEAK FREE.
I was in search of a new drinking vessel, and I had some very particular criteria: it must have a loop for a carabiner, it must have a mouthpiece that is protected from outside stuff, the mouthpiece can't be attached to the carabiner loop, and it MUST NOT LEAK.This water bottle is excellent, because it meets all those criteria and excels at things I didn't even realize I wanted.I'll start with the negatives, because there aren't many:- The stash compartment isn't attached to the bottle securely once the lid is off, so if you're filling the bottle, it takes some positioning to prevent the bottle from just slipping out.- The stash compartment isn't waterproof, so if the bottle gets dunked in water, the contents of the compartment are liable to get soggy, too.- The design of the bottle is weird. Every time someone new picks it up, I have to tell them how to use it.That's it! And the second point isn't really even that much of a negative, since then people aren't just yoinking my water while we're hiking.Things I love that I didn't know I wanted:- Having the measurements on the bottle is excellent. It makes it much easier to keep track of how much water I'm drinking throughout the day. I can also fill it up to a lower amount if I want to reduce the weight I'm carrying (and since it's securely leak-free, I can just throw it in my purse or backpack with no problem).- The handle/carabiner loop actually has a carabiner-style spring lock on it! So I don't even need to carry a carabiner with me; the water bottle can hook to things on its own. Plus it's very sturdy, so I frequently just carry the bottle by the handle.- The storage compartment is really handy! I never considered a water bottle with a pocket, but it's pretty convenient!Overall, this water bottle exceeded my expectations. It hasn't leaked even a little bit, which is SOO relieving. I hated walking to work, only to find that my old water bottle had leaked into my bag, or down the back of my skirt. The locking mechanism is strange, but it's so effective that I absolutely can't complain about it.I would recommend this water bottle to anyone and everyone.

Perfect for the gym or on the go
I own a red, original 24 oz Contigo Autoseal (two years old) and I have to say, between the two, this one is much better.I'd advise only using water, or non-carbonated beverages (trust me, I've sprayed myself accidentally with the old one I had) for ease of cleaning, as the mechanism requires a little bit of work to properly clean. This water bottle is perfect - it holds plenty, is very easy to drink from (one touch), has a wide neck to fit almost any size ice cube into it, and has a nifty little mouth cover to keep the drinking area clean. The kangaroo compartment is the perfect size for an ID, house key, a credit card, and a receipt or two. It detaches by unscrewing the cap, and simply lifting off, but it stays on very well when the cap is on, so no worries there.I've dropped my red one and this one several times, and no leaks or cracks at all!My girlfriend has one, and she loves it too, it's great for walks or the gym. The handle on top folds down flat, and has a clip which is useful for attaching it to backpacks, luggage straps, or even a belt loop (I'd avoid hanging a full one on the belt loop, you might bust the loop!)All in all, I LOVE this thing and wholeheartedly recommend getting one for each member of the house (preferably in different colors)

Durable and Handy
Edit: The lid's inner contraption lasted 3 years with daily constant use, and finally something snapped inside. It no longer works.Upgraded from a basic bottle with a rubber handle-loop that I was used to hooking a couple fingers through while I held other stuff. Because of the Contigo's hard plastic handle and awkwardly top-heavy design, I drop this bottle more often. But it's fallen down the stairs a few times and survived (once hot on the heels of my terrified cat,) and so far it still works great. I keep only my ID and other cards inside the compartment.I bought two of these, one to send as a gift. The button depresses same on both, but opens mine slightly less. At first I was worried that would mean an aggravating trickle of liquid when I try to drink, but it's got great flow. I am completely satisfied with that part. One improvement I desire is a solid single-piece body that the cap and compartment door attach to. Since you can remove the entire wrap-around container that holds stuff, it requires you to hold the bottle carefully after the lid's off and you're refilling, lest that part slip out of place and make you spill. While the dust cover protecting the aperture doesn't snap into place, it's still on a snug hinge that resists falling open, even if the bottle's tossed or flailed around. The hard plastic handle allows 2 or 3 fingers of my medium-size hands and has a little spring-hinged segment to clip your bottle to a strap. So far I haven't, since it's heavier than my old water bottle and not really suitable to hang off my purse or belt. But it'll work fine with my backpack.

clever idea
I saw this on a Pinterest board. How neat, I thought. My water bottle goes with me EVERYWHERE. So should a key, Id and credit card! This bottle is like the bottles I've been using: 24 oz. size fits into cup holders, one button opening to drink (AUTOSEAL lid). I've been able to pack it with ice and fluids just fine. Almost spill proof. That AUTOSEAL lid - sliding spout opening has a drawback: it is very hard to clean. I have had this style of bottles for quite a while, taken them everywhere, through all seasons. I drink flavored water. The sugar coats the opening, looking moldy. I've used Q-tips, soaked it in bleach and haven't gotten it really clean. The inside of the bottle has always brushed cleaned well.I do like the improvements: a moveable handle with the Carabiner clip- so necessary. A lid over the opening so it's not exposed to the elements. The Contigo Auto Seal Cortland Water Bottle, 32-Ounce has become my new favorite. And I'm sure I can use this one just fine with that storage pocket.Keep up the good products!

These are the best water bottles! I don’t like toting around keys and cards etc and this stores all of that. Make sure you go to the right seller as you should not be paying more than $ 15. Or $16. For this. It’s a water bottle. I’ve seen some prices as high as 100.00!? It’s a water bottle! lol I have a long brush just from the dollar store to clean it good inside. Doesn’t leak either and pretty durable.

Love it
Very practical. We always take it to tennis. Very practical if you don't like carrying things around, just this. Just as it says, it does the job and the delivery was quite fast. No complaints, everything was ok.
