Great fabric, full-featured sleeper with Heat and Massage settings. Could improve with independently raised legs, back supports
I like this a lot, and I guess I would really call this 4.5 stars not just 4.0, but I can't give it a 5 just because of a few minor things I would have like to have. First the good stuff: the fabric is wonderful, the faux leather is a really comfortable and good looking fabric that will be more resistant to stains and spills I believe than the fabric a lot of lift chairs are made from. Next, we have a nice looking light up wired control for all the functions, I would really like a wireless, but I can somewhat understand why they don't have one. That being, if you drop this you can fish it up by grabbing the wire, if you dropped a wireless control, and it got either away from the chair or the batteries dislodged, you might get stuck in a laid back position. Which brings up the next nice feature, I did have to go out and buy them, but was surprised that's all it took, the transformer compartment takes two 9 Volt batteries, the type most smoke detectors use. By surprised that's all it took I mean, they provide power to raise the chair back to the starting position, in case of a power outage. I got caught by that very thing in my other old lift chair last summer, no back up power, so I had to shimmy to the foot position, let the chair tip forward, slide off then let it drop back. Not much fun. Had that happened when I originally moved it to the front room to lift me after a hernia operation, I'd have been in real trouble, fortunately this was several months later so that's healed up. The massage is nice, not really very intense even on high, but relaxing and there are different modes a pulse, steady and another one, plus three intensity levels. There is a heat button on top and in the middle the up and down buttons with a lock / unlock button in the middle of the arrows. I didn't really like that I couldn't turn the lock / unlock lights off, but I guess they want you to know the mode. I would have like to have seen it time out and go off after 20 minutes like the massage and the heat modes.I have some mixed feelings about this next thing, the recline. I would think this classifies as a full sleeper chair as it goes back to leaving you parallel with the ground. The mixed feeling comes in that I use this to replace a Laz-y-boy rocker recliner (but not lift) chair. It goes almost all the way back, but your back and head position can stay a little higher to watch TV. I found this not as good for TV watching, and because I tested other models while looking for one of these chairs this past summer / fall season, I know they have them with independent foot and back raise / lower controls. To stay in the TV position on this, you only have your feet partially up, not all the way, so I may opt to use a Ottoman or footstool to keep my feet up while I watch. It's not a bad issue, but it's a correctable one. Still, you get a lot for your money here, I've seen a lot of basic ones with up and down only, in this kind of fabric for the same price. The heat and massage appear to be bonuses, and most of these are not full sleepers like this one. The comfort is definitely there to sleep on, and it seems to have good back and neck support. I could have used this a few years ago before I bought my Tempur pedic bed, I tried to sleep on my Laz-y-boy back then and after three hours I was hurting.A strong recommend from me, I live in chairs like this at home, and this is a good one. You could probably get the things I say this lacked in the chair, but based on shopping around at the medical device shops, and the back center stores, you'd probably pay twice the price to get just that. This is one of the better bargains for the money. FYI, I forgot something, I don't remember even hearing it move, and while my hearing is less than a person half my age, I still get annoyed at loud motors.

Comfortable, large chair
Bought this for my mom who is having a hard time getting up. She is plus size (450 pounds) and fits it this chair well and really likes it. It significantly helps her get in and out. The massager is not that great, a bit weak, but that’s not a problem since we didn’t buy it for the massager. It is very comfortable to sit in.

2 months in and the controls don't work. 3 months and chair won't work at all.
Less than 3 months and the chair has stopped working. Changing to 1 star. Frustration doesn't cover it. Disappointed is not enough. Amazon is sympathetic but, too bad for me, contact the company. First number was no longer in service, second number put on hold for 11 minutes to leave a message that hasn't been returned.2 months in and the controls don't work. The chair won't move without the controls.. So very disappointed. Paying for a new controller and having a broken chair until a replacement comes is wrong!I am so happy with this chair! It is large enough for this 66 year old 300+ pound lady with bad knees. It picks me up so my knees get a break. Comfortable, not hard, you don't feel the structure poking through the batting of the chair.

Nice Lift Chair
This is a really good lift chair. It's not huge and bulky and fits in our living room nicely. However, it requires a lot of space behind the chair if you want to recline very far. I like that it is not actual leather with hard, cold feel. It's softer and more comfortable. It doesn't feel as cold as leather when you first sit on it. But, it still looks like it could be leather. I'm short and this chair fits me just right. My husband is of average height and he is just as comfortable in the chair. The lower back support feels really good and hits me in just the right place. The head rest portion of the back doesn't push my head forward like some chairs do. It lets me relax in a natural position.I have severe arthritis in my knees and getting up and down can be very painful. This chair makes it so much more comfortable to sit and especially easier to stand. It moves smoothly and slow enough for my "rusty" knees to adjust to a position to where I can stand without much pain. The chair remains stable in the lifted position. We are "heavier than average" people and the chair has no trouble assisting us. The heat feature eases the winter aches I get with arthritis and warms me up when I'm chilly. It doesn't get hot and shuts off on it's own. Sometimes I turn it back on several times and wish it stayed on longer or had a longer cycle or variable choices. [Added: Unfortunately, the heat quit working after the first few uses. However, I didn't really need it for the heat in California.]It has a "massage feature" and this is where I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping for a more kneading (shiatsu style) massage. Instead, it's just the typical vibration. It looks like you have a lot of variables to select. But, there isn't much difference in the feel of the intensities. The other three choices are just constant or intermittent. It's a little noisy when you're listening to something. But, I'm figuring that the chair would cost more if it had a better massage system. It is nice that it shuts off on it's own. I fell asleep in it and never knew when it shut off. CAUTION: This chair causes occasional napping to occur. If massage is not your primary reason for getting this chair, you would be VERY happy to have this one. Though I am still able to get up and down from any chair, I'm only getting older and more rusty and this will be of greater help as I get more "rusty".

Warehouse deal
I wanted a lift chair, for after surgery and got a great deal on Amazon warehouse deals. Works great! Love the material. Kind of a faux suede. Easy to clean and pet hair doesn’t stick to it. It’s comfortable, not cushy soft, that’s for sure. Arms are not wide or soft, but it’s fine. Seems well made and is quiet to operate
