Excellent piece of technology
I wish I could tell you how happy I am with this Samsung Chromebook Pro with backlit keyboard.Truly a magnificent laptop. Easy Chrome Operating System. Safe to browse online. No virus ever.Updates by itself. Very fast machine. 90% of people don't know they actually don't need a full general purpose computer with Windows OS or Mac OS. They assume they need it but in reality they don't. Chromebook is way enough for the majority of people. Trust me. The shipment was fast. Great seller. I would highly recommend it.

Quick Startup, Amazing Screen, Great Stylus
I bought this chromebook because I need a computer for college. I have been eyeing this chromebook for awhile now, and bought it when the price dropped $150. A big plus for me with this chromebook is the stylus that you can store inside the body of the chromebook. It works great, and every time pull the stylus out a little menu comes up from the bottom with different options.- The keyboard is perfectly fine! I felt I needed to emphasize this because all of the reviews I read said pretty negative things about the keyboard. I'm saying that I didn't even have to get used to the keyboard, it feels like any other keyboard! The backspace looks small but it feels the exact same as any other backspace.Overall, I feel really satisfied with my purchase. It is working great, has had only one slowdown when I downloaded about 10 apps and had 15+ tabs open all at the same time, but hasn't had a single slowdown since. The only gripes I have include the outside is very susceptible to finger prints, the bottom has been getting pretty warm fairly quickly, and also some of the apps haven't fully loaded (Spotify and Netflix in particular, but it hasn't been a problem because I can just go on those websites). If you are thinking about buying this, you should go for it. I have only had it for about a week, but I know it is worth it.

Screen flickering two days after purchase - unusable
I am terribly disappointed with obviously a poor QC by Samsung. I am reviewing the Samsung Chromebook Pro v2.0 (2018 version with backlit keyboard). Unfortunately, on day 2 since I received the Chromebook Pro, when I flipped the lid to turn it into a tablet/tent mode, screen started flickering all over the place. Returning it into a standard laptop position did not help, the screen actually turned dark and only closing and opening the lid helped return it to normal state. I tried powerwashing several times (factory reset) and nothing helped. To make things worse, I currently live overseas and am highly doubtful that Samsung would do anything about this, given that it was bought in the US. Now, when people wonder about overhyped Apple products, this is one of those times that you have to praise them... No matter where on earth, you can get your Apple product repaired....In short, I would be very cautious as to ordering this product given the obvious history of Quality Control issues. If anyone from Samsung convinces me otherwise, I am willing to change my review.

Disappointing Overall, Especially in the Battery Department
The build quality and display on this Chromebook were great. The stylus/pen was a nice bonus. But the tiny backspace key and poor battery life were dealbreakers. The backspace key might not be an issue for everyone, but if you're buying a Chromebook, isn't one of the motivating factors battery life? Returned this for an ASUS C302 and have been much happier. Much better battery life and a backlit keyboard to boot.

Versatility, ease of use
I like the versatility - has the basic functionality of a lap top, tablet all in one. The compact size makes it easy to use in tight spaces (airplane).

I Wish I Had Researched it Better...
I obviously didn't fully understand what a Chromebook does before I bought it. I watched many videos on YouTube, but they only raved about how wonderful they are and nothing negative. And forget trying to find any tutorials. I thought it was a shrunken down version of a Laptop and I was looking for a hybrid Laptop/Kindle Reader. Big Mistake!!!! I quickly found out that half of the 32GB of storage is used up before it's even turned on. After adding a "few" of my favorite Apps, it was below 14GB. My cellphone has more Apps. There is no way to put on some of the programs I like to use,,, so what good is it? Certainly doesn't replace a Laptop... Even after adding 128GB SD card, moving everything to it I could and to My Google Drive, it's still a memory eater. I basically wanted to use it to read my Kindle books, but the screen makes the print too large and there is no way to make it smaller only larger, every time I read an ebook, I lose more memory and can't find where to remove them. My $89 Kindle Tablet is more powerful and has more memory than this,,,, now a $450 paper weight.. I should have taken the money a bought a 11.6" laptop. To late to return it and wouldn't feel right selling it to some other unsuspecting person. It's basically a Tablet for Google Chrome, Searching the internet and viewing Websites. So I guess that why it's called Chromebook... No room to do anything else and I thought it would do more... We use to call similar things "Dumb Terminals"... Extremely Disappointed!!! But My Bad!!!
