They look really good
My older brother had a set of this type screwdriver, I'm not sure how long Foster has been making this set. He said they were good screwdrivers. He passed last year, I never got a chance to ask him who made them. His had the red handles and were ground the same way. He bought them when he bought the Thompson Center 50 caliber Hawkins kit back in the early 1980's. I hope they do the job, not every firearm manufacturer machines screws that this set will fit. I'm sure there will be screws that this set will not fit. Thats not a bad thing, as long as they do a good job on the screws they do fit. Only time will tell, and I will return and share my experiences with them. I will be fair to all concerned.

Pretty good for the money
These are about the only hollow ground gunsmith screw drivers that you can reliably buy in a set. The price is very good and they work very well. They hold up well too. I am happy that I purchased them.

Tools you should already have!
The form and manufacture of these seem to be as good as you could have. They are kind of theoretical screwdrivers, made to fit the slotted screw heads just so. I have been modifying made screwdrivers all my life to be more like this, without really seeing the true form. They are odd and take a little practice, the way they are numbered doesn't help I think! You get a small variety of widths, each width comes in several different thicknesses.

Nice screwdrivers, but poor quality control and horrible customer service by Forstner!
These are precision machined, nicely made screwdrivers, with a glossy black oxide coating (to prevent rust) and solid, easy to clean acetate handles (which I much prefer to over-molded rubber). The eight sizes provided are useful, but also very limited, so I ended up purchasing a much junkier (Chinese) and less precise, but *much* more extensive, 89-piece "professional" set of gunsmithing screwdriver bits made by Wheeler to supplement this set. The provided "case" is just thin plastic and not really suitable for use/storage per se, so in a practical sense just keeps the screwdrivers from getting messed up during shipping. The sad part, aside from the price (too high), was Forstner's customer service. One of the screwdrivers in the set I purchased had a very obviously mal-formed and off-center tip. Rather than returning the entire set to Amazon (which I may still do), I contacted Forstner's "customer service" - which was more like non-service - for a replacement. Someone with even a bit of common sense would think that for a couple of dollar (their cost) item like one measly screwdriver that they would have just said, sorry, it somehow slipped by our QC, and then send me a new one (so that I would not have to return the entire set, with all of the losses involved with that). But, no! While they did respond promptly, they expected me to package and send them the damaged screwdriver (at my cost in time and money), and that they would then consider replacing it if it met their warranty criteria, whatever that is. That process/policy is a more-than-obvious, moronic waste of time and money for both of us, but, I suppose, is par for the course in the new 21st century America. Come on, Forstner, pleasing your customers is a good thing, even if it costs a buck or two occasionally. And irritating them needlessly, as in this case, is not good for future business.

Great product for the price!
These are for gunsmithing, but I bought them for working on carburators. Some of the jets on carbs are hard to reach, and are very small. When old carbs need cleaned it can be impossible to get the jets out with a pocket screwdriver, and standard size flat screwdrivers won't fit. You end up rounding out the slot on the jet when the screwdriver cams out. These screwdrivers work perfectly on stuck jets. They do not cam out, and round out the slot on the jet. Every mechanic should own a set of these!
