CarFunMarket Upgraded Version Android Head Unit DVD Navigation system Android Auto Carplay USB Dongle Support Iphone and Android Phone

I have recently acquired an android radio for my Honda Civic and wanted to add Apple CarPlay capabilities since my phone is an iphone.After doing lots of research and looking at several different products, I opted to try this one because of the ease of use. There are other usb dongles out there capable of delivering CarPlay functions to your android HU but this one is seamless. The other units I looked at required manually starting the support application before you plug in the iphone, while the unit offered by CarFUnMarket automatically senses the phone at starts the application.As an added benefit, the unit supports Android Auto. However, I have not been able to test that since I do not own an Android phone.The unit came in ultra fast in as little as one week, delivered by DHL. It was nicely packed in bubble rap and inside a nice package with instructions on how to use it. The unit is small and quiet unobtrusive. It was easy to tuck it out of view in my car.I did not quite understand the instructions so I reached out to the vendor who sent me the link to the app and more instructions.As soon as I downloaded the CarPlay app on the head unit I was able to plug in the dongle into the USB port of the radio and then the phone and Voila! I had CarPlay at my fingertips.The unit is very snappy and there is virtually no lag once is loaded. You have now access to all the apps supported by CarPlay. It passes all my conversations through the head unit, receives tests and allows you to reply to tests, etc. I think the best feature is Siri: once you tap the phone app, Siri comes on the speaker and asks you who do you want to call, thus enabling true hands free capabilities. Maps are working really well and so is Podcasts. I was delighted to see that my NPR app is also supported via carplay so now I can listen to new on demand.Overall it has been a great buy and it really made my in car experience much more enjoyable that previous.

I bought this back in April 2018 and have used it extensively driving 2-3 hour stretches at a time. I have an Eonon aftermarket android head unit in my Mazda 3 and this works super well with it. Mine came with instructions, and a QR code and URL for the android app, in the box which I visited on my headunit’s browser while connected to my home wifi. Installation was super easy and on opening the app it waits for the phone to be connected. The app stays open on my headunit when i turn off the car so it’s just a quick connect of the phone on start to get carplay up. Dinged a star because everytime I do start the car I get asked to allow access for the dongle even if I tell it to use that response as default. I searched online a bit and that may be a limitation of the Android security software API, or it might just be my headunit. Either way, I have to tap allow twice and then carplay will come up. Not a terribly big deal, and the unit is always conected unlike some others I researched that would require unplugging and plugging the USB cable. Pretty happy I bought it overall

This product comes with no proper instructions, I tried to install it on my 2014 ram 1500, uconnect 8.4 system it says usb error.I initially gave this one star but i am changing to 5 stars based on the quality of service based on my return request. The seller followed up with me daily until I got my money back. It may be just a language barrier that caused the problem. Hopefully others have better luck downloading the software
