I (as in, the son of this account) have been collecting swords for well over a decade. I've trained with them, I've lived with them. It's a big part of my motivation. I've dealt with some crappy display swords that don't even work for practice, and I've dealt with authentic razor sharp swords. But this one takes the cake. It's hard to get a blade sharper than this. I always test a blade's sharpness by pressing it against my hand. It's my philosophy that if you're going to have a deadly weapon, you need to understand what kind of damage and pain you would be inflicting on others with it, so that way you don't go using it lightly. It's to instill responsibility and empathy. I got a blue sword that's almost exactly like this, and it's really sharp too. However, just pressing the blade against my hand, not too hard nor sliding the blade across, was able to split the skin. Not enough to make it really bleed because I did not press very hard, but the fact that it was able to do that much to where it stung for a good while until it finally healed, means this is the real deal. DEFINITELY not a toy. Don't give to someone who doesn't understand the danger of misusing a weapon.However, I feel very safe having something like this on hand. It's beautiful, lightweight and easy to use, and VERY effective as a sword. It cut through the cardboard encasing the blue sword like butter, and I was holding the cardboard on just one end with one hand while I cut it, so it wasn't even pressing against a wall or the ground to give this sword any leverage to cut it with. It's just that sharp.

Is it worth the price that’s debatable. Had a chip in the sword after my first day of using it on watermelons. Could have been it hitting the surface under what I was swinging at but a chip so soon none the less. The knives held up much better I’m still throwing them to this day with no damage to the blades (even tho I’m terrible at it) but the biggest thing is before you buy this product is that the sheath is trash the blade pokes threw it like it’s butter. I cut my hand the first time I tried to put it back in. And the kunai holding places are to small or to large to keep them safe and secure for travel let alone holding.

When we got the Red Guardian, the sheath had a little area at the bottom that was not completely stiched. So I sent a message asking if they could replace the sheath or would they like me to return the whole thing. I explained that I would return the whole set if they preferred but I'd prefer to send them pictures since it was a Christmas present. Not only were they extremely quick in responding to my message, less than 24 hours, they said they would be more than happy to replace the sheath! They provided awesome customer service and if I were to ever purchase a knife/sword (or anything like it) I would 100% look to purchase from Get The Edge first! Oh and the Red Guardian is beautiful! I am very happy with the product and seller!

Bought it because I thought it looked cool but it's actually very usable and super sharp feels great in your hand I use it to clear bushes and small tress still as sharp as the day I opened it

the tips of the throwing knives tend to bend so make sure the target you are throwing at is soft enough the in wont bend the metal because you can break the tips off real easily, it is steel but its like a light softer steel

My teen son collects knives and swords. This is part of that now. He loves it! Perfect and sharp enough for what he needs. It is absolutely beautiful. The sheath did split on a small area though when putting the blade back into it. Must be careful doing that. :) Otherwise it is great. Throwing knives are perfect too.

For the price of this, it’s not a bad deal, especially if you have points to blow. I bought it more for aesthetics, really, and I was not disappointed. The paint job looks nice and nothing is bent or chipped. The sharpness is roughly equivalent to what you would get out of a basic Walmart knife; it’s sharp but it won’t pass the arm hair test. If you really wanted to you could get basic machete use out of it. The only issue is that the sheath is very cheaply maid. It started falling apart after taking it out a few times. Other than that, it’s a decent buy if you like buying this kind of stuff. I ended up buying a second one so I can make a decoration.
