Hi All,This is one of the best TV serials ever made in the history of mankind!! It is culturally and spiritually so rich, that it purifies your heart and connects you to your soul in a way one cannot describe in words. The wisdom/virtues/righteousness and the characters depicted in this serial are so inspiring that one cannot help but appreciate and wonder. Though it is supposed to be a Hindu Epic, but the values shown in the serial are eternally inspiring for whole of the humanity. For all seekers of truth, peace and spirituality, i would highly recommend watching this serial.On another note, i got this from Planet Bollywood through Amazon - only tricky part was the packing of the DVDs - which could have been better. But that should not hinder you from watching this great epic, because the takeaways way-way outweigh this small limitation.Best of luck!thanksaseem

To find this classic story on DVD was wonderful. The graphics are cheesy and the sub-titles are sometimes missing, but the story is so compelling that it seems to be all - forgiving. A precious watch.

Although the production quality is a little hokey this story of the Ramayan enthralled the entire nation of India when it came out--and I can see why.it's an amazing telling of one of the most beautiful and profound scriptures of the world. It captures the soul and beauty of India.I've seen videos from India that are copies of copies,many generations removed from the original quality. So I was nervous that this would be the same.But the video quality is great, and this really is the authentic video. .

Dvds would stick and stop mid way.

It came on time, It was for our grand kids, They love it. I will recommend it to any one who loves mythology or Hindu religion. Ramayan is the backbone of Indian culture and beliefs.

I learned A LOT about culture, Ramayan and his family and this time, also on the beginning i thought that this film is only for kids.
