Doesn't work!
It doesn't actually write, not even a little bit no visible Mark other than a groove in the paper. How can it even be called a writing instrument if it doesn't write?

Inkless but not Eternal
POSITIVEIt is a great writing tool when in a pinch but not a replacement. It is cool in that it looks like a bullet. This item is very durable, nice weight, and the `pencil' screws on securely to the lid.NEGATIVEI was under the impression that because it was inkles and leadless that this was, in theory, going to last forever. It does not. As you write you are leaving behind metal particles on the paper. So the writing point dulls and gets smaller with use. The writing is lighter than expected. I would compare the written coloring to be that of a light pencil.

it's a great backup pen as it truly works - if you ...
It will shred the paper you try to write on most of the time but you can use it as a weapon... and TSA agents feel that way too so be careful when going through security. That said, it's a great backup pen as it truly works - if you write on a rather robust piece of paper like "rite in the rain" notebooks

Writes light, breaks easy
I liked it because it was always with me, it was small, and it was attached to my keys. Sure, the result was rather light, but I could read it, and it was good enough for emergencies. Then, after only the fifth or sixth use, the tip broke clean off. And it was unusable. I have since discovered that other people had the same problem. Because I see nothing that indicates they fixed that problem, I won't be replacing it.You want something to write with that you always have with you? Get a Space Pen and put it in your pocket.

Contains Lead
The pen tip is made of lead, a poisonous heavy metal.(No not graphite, actual lead.)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lead#Health_effectsThis product is dangerous and you should not buy it unless you fancy a little brain damage.

while it does everything as promised. it writes like a pencil
It does what it says although the writing looks like a pencil. Which is exactly what it really is. My husband likes it because it's small and he keeps it on his lanyard for work. If it wrote like a permanent marker I think it would be more worth it.

Great product!
I have had the opportunity to use this about 4 times. It does write like a pencil as it is made of lead. It is a little heavy for the size it is, but I recommend this product.

somewhat disappointing
The pen works, but it comes out looking like a very light pencil. It's a bit hard to read. But they are right about it not smudging.
