Real Purity Roll-On Natural Deodorant

Updated 5/5: I eventually heard from Real Purity a week and a half after I messaged them. They did not address the defective product in any way shape or form, just said no refunds or exchanges. Based on my reply to that little failure of customer service, I'm guessing they came here to down vote my review (that I mentioned in my message), which is suspiciously the only one on the page with any votes at all as of this writing. There is nothing wrong with this review except that it apparently got under some petty person's skin. I think I'll report them to Amazon.Update #2 5/9: Amazon ended up giving me a full refund, and they are investigating Real Purity for the suspicious down vote. So much hassle they created, when they ended up losing the money anyway, and now they lost a customer as well. And maybe a few more who don't want to be treated the same.---------------- original review ----------------------I have purchased this deodorant before, and it does work for me - until it goes bad, which happened much too quickly in my opinion. I had pre-ordered a bottle so it had been sitting around unopened for a couple of months before using. I always shake it before applying as directed, but it stopped coming out suddenly although it was clear there was still plenty of product in the bottle. After removing the roll-on ball it was obvious what the problem was - the deodorant had thickened to a lotion-like consistency which prevented the ball from picking it up. There was no expiration date on the bottle. I am attaching a photo.I would have preferred to work it out with Real Purity directly before writing a negative review, considering my previous good experience with the product, but a message I sent them through Amazon was completely ignored. It was past the return date but it should have lasted longer than two months, and I think they should have been willing to replace it. For that small investment in a happy customer they could have earned my respect and business for life, but this is the kind of company that thinks it is a better idea to blow off customer concerns.

I have a pit problem. I was using men’s deodorant for years. I tried everything, even prescription stuff that burned my pits so badly that I had to put burn ointment on my pits. I have even drank chlorophyll juice to stop the internal smell?? Didn’t work. I already had odor directly out of the shower even.Then a couple of years ago I decided to go natural. I didn’t know about detoxing my pits so that was bad. Lol Finally, I detoxed and after soooo much trial and error I found the best thing for me was Dr. Bronners citrus wash for my pits then the crystal deodorant and finally dashing them with my DIY powder (cornstarch and essential oils, baking soda breaks me out) and that’s been working enough. Then I researched again and found this. I used it after my shower with the citrus wash and didn’t use the crystal or powder, just used this deodorant and I’m impressed!!!! I’ve used many other all natural concoctions, either buying them or making them and nothing comes close.This is the real deal. It’s $6 cheaper on their own website though. That’s a HUGE price difference.

I should start by saying that I exercise vigorously six days/week. I decided to go natural with my hygiene products when my husband and I decided we were ready to start trying to get pregnant. I've tried at least five different natural deodorants with mixed results. Some just flat-out didn't work and had zero odor control. A couple of the others controlled odor but were difficult to apply and caused an allergic reaction. I have really sensitive skin so I should have expected this kind of thing to happen.I'm not usually a fan of roll-ons, but this product had great reviews so I decided to give it a try. It's amazing! It dries really quickly and has great odor control. I put it on yesterday morning after my shower, went about my day, went to bed, got up this morning and did a crazy cardio workout and still didn't smell!Bottom line, I've done the legwork and highly recommend this deodorant for anyone looking for an effective natural deodorant!

I've been using only natural deodorants for over 10 years, both ready-made and homemade. I've tried Toms of Maine, Lafe's, Herbal Clear, Green People, Nourish Organics, Dr Mercola, salt crystals, vinegar, milk of magnesia, baking soda, witch hazel, combinations of coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax, diatomaceous earth, arrowroot flour and essential oils. I've even tried adding probiotics to the homemade cream deodorant. Anything with propylene glycol or baking soda gave me a rash, so I eventually stopped trying anything containing those. The deodorants that didn't give me a rash just didn't work very well, or stopped working after a while.So far, so good with Real Purity roll-on. The scent is a lot stronger than I expected, but it's less noticeable once you put it on than when sniffing from the bottle. A little goes a long way. I put a very minimal amount from the bottle onto each pit then rub around evenly with a couple of fingers to cover the whole area, then wash my hands. I find that speeds up the drying process and minimizes the amount used but is still effective.Amazingly, the deodorant works overnight. With other deodorants, I used to have to wash and reapply (if I didn't shower) but with Real Purity I went through quite a few days without washing and reapplying when I had the flu (and was sweating a lot, too!) and did not smell much at all. (Don't worry, I did eventually take a shower, even though I didn't smell :).Honestly, I was skeptical when buying this as I had tried so many deodorants before. But I just got tired of buying stuff that didn't really work, or putting so much effort into DIY ones that also didn't really work. So glad I tried this anyway. It really works!I highly recommend anyone with sensitive skin and wanting to use all natural skin care products to give this a try.

After talking with a friend I found out that body odour is not caused by sweating itself, but by the bacteria on the surface of your skin reacting with sweat. Looking into it more I found out:Anti-persiperants work by effectively clogging pores in your armpits (with aluminium) to reduce your sweating and the amount of bacteria that interacts with it, which doesn't sound great, especially as its blocking a natural process for the body to get rid of toxins as well as cool down.Skin in the armpit is some of the thinest skin on the body, so ideal for absorptionWomen who are recovering from breast cancer are advised not to use under-arm care that contains alumimium (and parabens)The yellow stains I would eventually get on my work shirts are not baked in sweat, but traces of aluminium left over from the anti-perispreant.It's advisable to use underarm care before going to bed.Armed with this I did look around at a lot of natural deodorants that wouldn't block sweat and that did not contain alminium and parabens. After trying at least 10 different ones, which either ranged from being ineffective and left me smelling myself before the end of the day, or causing skin irritation under the arms I found this one which, is a revelation and works so well.It's not cheap, but so effective! Easily lasts the day and often well into the next day and very natural ingredients. The smell is not something I would normally chose, but is pleasant enough and a small price to pay for such effective under arm care.Highly recommended.P.S.My advice is once applied, use two fingers to rub it into the skin and let it dry before dressing.

*Update* the Original roll-on simply stopped working. I bought a second one which was great for about a week, then that just stopped working too. Product refused to come out of the roller tip. I tried everything but to no avail. Needless to say I did not buy a third one! Such a shame as this isn’t a cheap product and I expected more. Sigh.*original review before update above * Like many, I’m attempting to go more natural. The thought of clogging my armpits with aluminium leaves me cold (and somewhat horrified). I’ve tried a few natural deodorant formulas and none of them ward off the smell of sweat. I don’t mind a slight whiff of B.O. personally, but not everyone is as accepting as me!This roll-on is pretty special. I use it just after my shower in the morning and give it about 10 minutes to air dry. It seems to work all day and even stands up to the exercise test! On a side note, my armpits have become lighter since switching to natural (or should I say reverted back to their natural state, now that I am not using a synthetic deodorant). It also has a pleasant smell.The true test will be in the summer (I started using this in Feb and it’s now March - still officially winter and still cold). If this can stand the test of summer heat, plus exercise, I’ll be a user for life!

I have tried many brands of deodorant, each making promises to keep your underarms dry from anywhere from 24 to 48 hours, but each one failing in this claim. This brand, however, does indeed live up to its claim. You are left completely dry, and, what's more, it neither leaves yellow stains on white clothes, nor does it give off the typical, cheap "deodorant smell"; in fact, I find the odour very pleasant.As it is rather expensive, it would be nice for it to become better known worldwide and taken on by local stores. Getting it to Russia, where I live, makes it even more expensive with the delivery costs to ship it here and the longer wait.I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality brand that does what it is supposed to.

This is the first natural deodorant I've found that works. The first one that I've ordered multiple times! Works for running and a long day at work - still fresh. I'm very happy.

My favourite natural deodorant better than most others! It also lessens the amount of perspiration too which is a bonus for me.Really pleased but bit expensive...
