3-Year Kindle Paperwhite Protection Plan with Accident & Theft Cover, UK customers only

I'm glad I decided to get this protection because I do quite a lot of airplane travel and you never know what will happen when you take stuff with you on trips. Not very expensive but well worth getting. Recommend this to anyone with a Kindle. Thank you.

Hopefully I will never need this product, but as with all insurances the peace of mind is what you are actually purchasing. The cover seems inclusive whereas most have volumes of small print exclusions. this is the second policy I have taken out through Canopy via Amazon and I recommend it as a sensible add-on.

my previous kindle, when it suddenly without warning stopped working was covered and replaced withing 24 hours of alerting Kindle about the problems. However the previous protection plan did not cover theft. And, my second, replacement kindle was stolen within a week! Not covered. This protection plan covers both accident and theft. I hope I never have to use it but it is reassuring to know it is there should I (hopefully not) need it.

Having previously had 2 screens cracked, I decided to take out insurance on my son's new Paper White. This was the only scheme offered by Amazon so the choice wasn't great but the price & coverage seemed OK. As always with Amazon, buying the policy was very straight forward and the whole deal completed via e-mail. There was a short delay in getting the policy from the supplier but a single e-mail from me was responded to on the same day. The policy details arrived later that same day - good service. The terms & conditions are well set out and easy to read. One thing to note is you aren't covered if you loose your Kindle - only if its stolen. Worth the money, I'd say.

What a fantastic company. I bought the new kindle paperwhite and this insurance. It was all automatic and stress free. As someone with aspergers, I often struggle with procedures that have hiccups and need me to sort out manually. No such thing here. I ended up not liking the kindle and returned it [no text to speech feature]. My policy was refunded in full. No questions asked and no hidden things to cancel at all. I would use these guys again and again

I use my kindle everyday and I started to have trouble charging it, reported fault to amazon and got a replacement no problem. Kindle was over year old.

Whatever you do, do not purchase this as part of a present - it is a nightmare. Bought this along with a Kindle as a present for a 70th birthday. Received an email a few days later stating 'you should, by now, have received your policy'. I hadn't. I called up. I was told it would be resent. Received another email saying 'you should, by now, have received your policy.' I still hadn't. I called again. They apologised and said there'd been an error and the policy would be sent after the Kindle was despatched. It wasn't (despite another, identical email). I called again. I was told it would be resent. Guess what? Email but no policy. I called again. The call took over half an hour. The upshot is that the policy cannot be sent until the Kindle is registered. The policy is in my name. The Kindle will be registered in someone else's name as it is a present. At this point it can be transferred, but only if the Kindle owner and policy holder call together. This is somewhat problematic as we live 250 miles apart. Suggested solution was that we call during the birthday meal when the present will be handed over. Unsurprisingly, this won't be convenient and doesn't seem at all appropriate. As yet unresolved, despite the fact that I paid for the policy a month ago and the 3 years is ticking down. Meanwhile I keep being sent automated emails confirming that I should, by now, have received my policy. This company is an arm of Amazon. I have previously bought Kindles as a present twice. Both times I also purchased Square Trade warranties. All worked well but Square Trade seem to have been ousted in favour of these in-house jokers. This whole process has been amateur in the extreme. Immensely frustrating. Be warned.

Seemed what it says, but I expected a copy in the post, as I haven't got a printer and feel it is necessary to be able to keep it in case of need. Email of it came on time though

Appel aujourd'hui au numéro indiqué (08...) suite au vol de mon Kindle, j'ai été automatiquement redirigé vers les services d'Amazon qui ont effectué un renvoi d'un nouveau Kindle immédiatement. Simple et efficace.

Gracias a dios de momento no he tenido que hacer uso de él, aunque teniendo niños en casa y que les gusta también leer (les metos sus libros), pues mejor tenerlo por si acaso.

Die gerade mal 1 Jahres-garantie des Kindle lassen so einige bedenken aufkommen, da man sich bei einer relativ teuren Anschaffung doch einen möglichst langfristigen Nutzen erhofft. Ohne die verlängerte Garantie auf 3 Jahre hätte ich die Umstellung auf elektronische Bücher nicht versucht, da gerade Geräte mit ständiger Displaynutzung sehr anfällig sind für "Gebrauchsfehler". Entgegen der teils schlechten Erfahrungen einiger Rezessenten bezüglich einer schriftlichen Rückmeldung seitens Asurion, ist meine Bestätigungsmail inklusive Versicherungsinformationen, Versicherungsnummer etc. 2 Tage nach der Bestellung eingetroffen. Zur Abwicklung der Versicherungsschäden kann ich bisher keine Auskunft geben, da mein Kindle noch nagelneu ist. Ich erwarte jedoch keine bösen Überraschungen. Daher vorerst 4 Sterne für die zügige Abwicklung der Bestellung/des Versicherungsantrags. Ich denke die Verlängerung der Garantie auf 3 Jahre ist auf jedenfall ein Muss für alle, die ihre elektronischen Geräte länger unbesorgt nutzen möchten und nicht ohnehin jährlich auf neuere Modelle umsteigen wollen. *Nachtrag* Mitlerweile hat sich auch der erste Versicherungsfall ergeben mit einem Riss im Display des Kindle. Auf meine E-Mail bekam ich innerhalb 1 Stunde Rückmeldung und einen Retourenschein zum ausdrucken. 2 Tage nachdem ich den Schadensfall gemeldet habe wurde schon der neue Kindle geliefert, ohne weitere Probleme oder Papiersorgen. Ich kann den Versicherer nach meinen Erfahrungen guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

L'ho preso insieme al Kindle che ho regalato a mia mamma. La prima volta che va in spiaggia.. splash.. onda anomale che spazza tutte le sdraio kindle incluso. In pochissimo tempo kindle nuovo senza complicazioni burocratiche cui siamo abituati su altre tipologie di garanzie simili. Ottimo servizio Amazon Consigliatissimo su tutti gli acquisti visto anche il costo quasi irrisorio.

A prima vista sembra un ottimo prodotto e a buon prezzo. Ovviamente si spera di non averne mai bisogno ma, visto il costo, vale sicuramente l'investimento. Una volta acquistato il prodotto, a distanza di pochi giorni mi è giunta una mail riepilogativa del certificato di assicurazione. La spedizione del formato cartaceo invece è giunta con circa 10 giorni di ritardo rispetto alla data massima prevista. In compenso il servizio clienti, a cui mi ero rivolto per reclamare il ritardo, è stato rapido e cortese. Si sono offerti di inviarmi un'altra copia del formato cartaceo, quindi presumo che alla fine mi sarà recapitato un altro plico. In ogni caso, a parte qualche ritardo postale, un ottimo prodotto!
