I love the idea that this has a mesh lid to cover the potty pads so the dogs can't tear up..The only qualms i have and giving it a three stars is the meshed cover does not snap into place and can be easily removed by your dog..I've had this issue where she would get curious and would be able to remove the mesh covering with her paw nails..Other than that,,.. I've had no issues of her going potty on it..

Okay some of the time.
These are great. My doggie uses it on the outside porch as he can't go down the stairs to the grass yet. He comes out, jumps on it, and does his business. I have newspaper under it which I pick up and toss. Very nice.It didn't work as well in his playpen inside. He preferred to sleep on it instead. So he tended to go when he was off it.

Good idea if your dog will use it.
My Chihuahua used this with a pad on top once and that was it. Without something on top it's essentially a hard surface and like most dogs, she prefers a soft surface (that would equate to absorbent). It's a great idea, but didn't work for me.

surprised that it is sturdy and well constructed
After reading reviews I thought it would be cheap plastic...surprised that it is sturdy and well constructed...had to buy a special brush to clean up pooh but over all it saves money and keeps my dogs paws and floor clean.

Worked great. She used it
I had the grass one for years. Worked great. She used it. Was going order a new grass pad for it. Then I saw this and said was better at keeping clean. Thought that was a good point so I ordered this. The dog hates it. She does not like standing on this thing. Now I have to order the grass replacement as I wish I had. This goes in the trash can. Total waste on money. I think a lot of dogs will not like standing on this one so be careful ordering it.

Great Potty for puppies
This is Great & you can save on the pads just because your dog can't see where they have previously gone to potty! This way you can get use of almost the entire pad, but be careful or you will have overflow! You can't smell any fowl odor either. It is great!!!

Loved it! My dogs used it first time. No hesitation. Now they don't track on my floor with wet paws!
