Love it!
This scale is a fantastic addition to my coffee setup. The battery lasts a surprisingly long time on one charge, and it has made my daily workflow much faster and cleaner. Aside from how well it works, it looks great—everyone who sees it on my counter asks about it. It’s sleek, simple, and definitely worth it.

Elegant dosing
I’m a pourover/Aeropress guy, so I already had a decent brewing scale from Timemore. But I was tired of shuffling the output cup from my grinder onto the scale, weighing out the beans, dumping them into the grinder, then putting the output cup back under the spout of the grinder. Occasionally I would even screw up the process when I wasn’t paying close enough attention, with hilarious results. So I thought a dedicated scale for beans in the form of a cup sounded perfect. And I was right! This cup is obviously a cool idea, but the world is full of poorly executed cool ideas. But this gadget is very well executed. It’s got a nice, sleek look to it, and the angled back melds form and function as a pouring spout. I do wish the button on the front stood out a bit more; as it is, it doesn’t detract from the cup’s smooth lines, but it’s also easy to miss in dim lighting. The digits on the back are big enough for me to read without my glasses, and they’re at a tasteful brightness level. The scale powers on fast. And the readout updates fast, with zero rebound effect, which I can’t say about my bigger brewing scale. I haven’t gone through a calibration yet, so I’m not sure how accurate it is, but if it’s off, it’s not off by enough to make any detectable difference in the coffee I’m brewing. If you have a scale already, you don’t need this. But I think you’ll be impressed by the elegance it will bring your brewing routine.

A fun coffee staple
We love this scale! It was a little pricey but worth it! It’s easy to clean and it functions well! I can’t remember if there were other colors but we just chose black. If there was white I would’ve chose that but my husband placed the order haha. If you have the extra money to spend, it’s totally worth it. And it’s always accurate.

Great little scale — but not practical for larger doses
This scale is accurate, fast, and very convenient. The hidden display is sleek, and overall it feels well made. Unfortunately, a couple of design choices make it impractical for my use. Issue #1: The display gets blocked I regularly weigh 65g of beans, which the scale technically supports — but in practice, the hidden display gets covered by beans around 35–40g. Once you reach that point, you can’t see the readout anymore. My workaround was to weigh ~35g, dump it into the grinder, then weigh the remaining 30g. It works, but at **$50**, that’s not something I want to do every morning. If this were half the price, I might live with it — but at this price point, I expect better usability. Issue #2: Touch button taring too easily The touch “button” is multifunction: First touch: power on + tare Additional touches: re-tare Because the button is flat and pressure-less, I often accidentally trigger it while dumping beans into the grinder. That causes the scale to tare mid-pour, so when I set it back down, I have to re-tare again before continuing. I could adjust my habits to avoid this — but combined with Issue #1, it becomes more friction than I want during my first task of the day, lol. Bottom Line: If you never weigh more than ~35–40g, this is a stylish, accurate little scale and you’ll likely be very happy with it. I really wanted to love this gadget — but for larger doses, it just doesn’t work well enough for the price. Make one with twice the usable capacity (without doubling the price) and I’ll gladly come back 😅

Super handy dosing cup and scale combined. What’s not to like?

Necessary ? No. Need it? Yes.
Did I need this ? No. Doesn’t make me smile like a kid with a new toy every time I use it ? Yes. Like every gadget from Subminimal, it’s well made, over engineered, sleek looking, and functional. It’s absolutely unnecessary but boy, is it a joy to use. This is probably how they measure beans aboard the ISS, cause it’s probably anti-gravity. By the way. I was today years old when I realized it’s Sub-MINIMAL and not SuBLIMINAL…

Compact and very efficient and accurate
This is a fantastic product. I've been using a very expensive scale that is extremely accurate. I verified five different measurements, and this cup works great. It streamlines my workflow; it's so compact and effective. I think it's extremely easy to use, and I don't understand the sensitivity concerns. Overall, I give this product five stars. My only wish: double the price and make a metal version. I'd be all over that one too. I absolutely would buy again, and I have three coffee grinders. My Z1 is easy to feed with this cup; it works perfectly.

Totally unnecessary but great quality and makes the morning workflow much smoother. Bought on offer so definitely value for money, at full price you’d expect metal not plastic.
