Awesome rig
I research every product extensively before I make a purchase. I bought these suspenders along with Arsenal 5550 3-Inch Padded Base Layer Tool Belt. Here is my reviewProsArsenal is known for their near perfect quality. The metal is strong and sturdy. Suspender hooks are rock solid, Buckle is rock solid. Construction is rock solid. The belt sits atop of a padded under-belt that straps firm with Velcro. The Arsenal 5560 Padded Tool Belt Suspenders are the main reason I bought this combo. The suspenders are yoke type suspenders and are heavily padded. Yoke type suspenders connect the left suspender and right suspender just below the neck on the back. That means a left suspender or right suspender wont fall off your shoulder when you're working. This will drive your nuts when your on a 14 ft ladder and your suspenders are following off. In fact you can even leave your belt unbuckled and the yoke suspenders will still stay on your shoulders.Cons,None. But.... Custom leather craft has an innovation that I think Arsenal should really consider copying. Tool belts hold took bags. Suspenders hold belts up. What we really need is suspenders that suspend tool bags not belts. Arsenal should look at any one of Custome Leathercraft's tool belt suspenders. They really do have one advantage. The suspenders attach to hooks on the tool bags. When you do this you no longer need to be confined to a tight belt cinched around your waist. All you have to do is wear the suspenders and belt as a vest. With this said. I rigged my Arsenal belt/suspender combo to suspend only the tool bags. I rigged the best of both worlds. Super comfortable suspenders. The yoke style ensures that my suspenders stay on my shoulders. I am in heaven. :)Note: The picture is of a Custom Leathercraft suspender. I like how the suspenders attach to the tool bags and not the belt. I don't like the suspender style. I prefer the yoke style of the arsenal.

So, I just got this - took it out of the box and thought, "Aw, man... they made this thing for teenage girls or something." Wrong. By the time you stretch it all out and hook it to the keepers, FAHGETABOUTIT. Fits perfectly. I attached it with your basic belt-keeper-hook thingies and rock n' roll. For those of you wondering, I'm only about 6'1" but the suspenders have to travel over a hill to get to the belt, if you take my meaning. *(for those of you who missed that, it means I'm fat). Anyway, it fit perfectly. I will say if you have some topography between the shoulders and waist and you're any taller than about 6' 3", you're going to need really long suspender hooks or something, but these are Average "double-cheese-burger-eat'n" Joe approved. As for construction, they seem to be sturdy- stitching and hardware alike. I wish it had that middle-of-the-chest-strap-connector-yolk thing - but that's nothing some paracord and a hook can't fix. I'll be testing them this weekend when I load 'em up with my tool bags and drill holster - but I'm excited by the prospect of not having to have a ridiculously tight belt to keep my tools from "pants-ing" me on the job site. If they end-up sucking, I'll update.

Awesome
I can't say 5 stars because these are my 1st pair, and I can't really compare to anything. But, so far I love them. I like that they don't stretch, so theres no ambiguity in their placement. I like that they don't use those alligator suspender clamps like some do. The cell phone holder is rediculous.. But I have an old altoids box I keep my misc. driver bits in, it holds the box perfectly. It's winter so I'm pretty layered, don't feel the chest rubbing people are complaining about,. yet. I think it would be a simple sewing job to add a simple strap accros the chest in the summer if it bothers me. All in all, they make my 45 Lb tool belt feel light, and easy to wear. Its not the weight of the bag that bothered me, its how tight I had to pull the belt to keep it from slipping down. Pinch my hips when I walked. Now I keep the belt real loose., the suspenders keep it on place. Awsome.

Works well as an adjunct to a belt
I use belt loop attachments to connect these suspenders to a standard (not tool) belt. This keeps my pants from sagging, even under strenuous use (hunting, shore/boat fishing, outdoor chores) and/or when my pants are loaded with tools. Suspenders are not elastic, but can be adjusted to achieve the desired balance among comfort, range of motion, and support. Padding reduces fatigue. More comfortable under warm weather conditions than bib pants. I have not tested this, but should work in conjunction with the appropriate tool belt.

Great Customer Service
First off i want to say how great customer service is. I have had these suspenders for years. The clip on the first set broke within the first 2 years. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new pair. The replacement pair just broke and its been another 2 years since they sent me the replacement. Same problem the clips broke. Once again I emailed customer service and they sent me another pair. They said that this paid has been upgraded to better clips. As far as comfort, they are awesome. I spend 9 hrs a day in them and couldn't imagine working without them.

The Carabiner clip on the front right failed yesterday.
Nice suspenders, but the carabiner clip on the front right failed after a month and a half of use. Going to jerry rig something to make it work. :-( Also, there's a knock off version of lesser quality that has a convenient pencil holder on the top right chest area. Had that one for two months before the stitching fell apart.

Belt loop hooks are top-notch value
These things hold up my pants. Any pants, not just the ones with suspender buttons. Pinch-jaws can slide off of pants. Not these. Smooth hooks will not scratch your clothes or your truck seat.Only wish that the top shoulder section was a bit more vented. Padding is nice, but it gets a bit sweaty after several days with the chainsaws.Oh... I put some special grommets into the belt of my new chainsaw chaps specifically for these braces.

Couldn’t stand up to the job.
This is a 3 month review after owning these suspenders, I received them on December 6th 2018 and it is now March 6th 2019. I bought these to be used with the “Ergodyne Arsenal 5500 28-Pocket Tool Rig, X-Large” which I purchased at same time assuming the suspenders would be able support the belt but I was mistaken.Firstly I do sheet metal work in the industrial/commercial roofing industry which mainly involves doing metal capping around the perimeter of flat roofs and metal flashings around rooftop curbs or walls. It is a lot of up and down work and constantly moving. It also involves metal siding work which can involve a lot of climbing on scaffolds and again a lot of up and down constantly picking up the metal pans.During the first month I had zero issues with this product. (Although I did have two weeks off for Christmas holidays so it was more like two weeks usages during the first month). At about the 2 month mark that’s when things began to fail. The back right clip on the suspenders detached from the metal holster on the shoulder strap, it pulled right threw the hole that allows it to pivot. I tried to stick it back threw but it just kept detaching so I just took the clip and hooked it over the metal piece on the strap to continue to get usage out of it. A couple days later the front left clip failed in the same way and I used the same fix to continue to get usage. (Picture provided so you can see exactly what I’m talking about) the other two clips have held up to date but as a precaution I’ve reinfornced them with some twine to prevent them from ever being pulled threw.I’ll end off by saying what was good about the product tho. The material, after three months there is no sign of wear on the material, no rips or shredding has occured. It has been very comfortable on my shoulders I have found the padding to be quite good and it doesn’t dig into your neck or anything. And lastly the fact that the straps come straight down in the back instead of crossing across your back like an “ X “. I work at heights and am required to wear a 5-point safety harness daily, this allows me to wear my harness underneath and have my d ring on my back unhindered by the tool belt suspenders.

Great set of suspenders
Very strong and fits the tool belt, neither one of which I really needed, but I can find use for them both. This does an admirable job although the cell phone holder will only handle the flip phone I gave up approximately 12 years ago. I'm sure I can find another use for the holder.the rings are great to attach carbiners or quick links to hold other stuff and you can never have enough stuff with a tool belt (or suspenders holding the tool belt).

Was great til it broke
Update: I had the one belt clip break at work and it is now useless. Really disappointed that it didn't even last a year.Bad:-Doesn't come with the attachments that wrap around your belt and forces you to acquire those another way.-Forget about the phone holder lol it is hilariously small.Good:-Fits really well-The front straps have loops which are delightful for hanging your impact or nail gun for when you are climbing around on ladders.Overall they are the best in that price range no question. IF they wanted to increase their price by increasing the value definitely need to include belt loops for compatibility and make the phone pocket actually useable it's seriously comically small.

Comfortable and affordable, Meant to be used with Ergodyne belts.
Nice, comfortable and cheap.People complaining about the clips dont seem to realize this is a product meant to be used with their belt. The Belt comes with the suspender clipping points, if you do not have the belt you will not have the proper clips for it.Other than that, paired with its matching belt, it makes a very comfortable system. I always recommend suspenders, as early as you start working you should use them, save your back for when you're still working in your 50s.The phone pocket is highly dated, but you can still use it for other tools or pencils.
