DuoDerm Extra Thin Hydrocolloid Dressing 5cm x 10cm - Pack of 10

I’ve used this for various bits over the years. I first used this brand when my sister gave me some that she’d been given at the hospital. They are brilliant. You heal so much quicker with these and it really does limit the scaring. Recently my daughter injured her foot so I was using them to help protect it and heal faster. As it was the side of her foot she was going through plaster a lot quicker so I did buy a couple of couple brands to see if I could save some pennies. The two other brands, the colour was nicer and blended in better visually to the skin but certainly did not adhere as well as these. They also had limited ‘give’ in movement so very quickly ‘bubbled’ up and exposed the injury to the air. Also a number of years ago my husband had to had surgery on his wound ‘packed’ daily. It was a very large a deep wound and at the time I didn’t realise what these type of plaster were or did. His would filled in quickly but towards the end he run out of these types of plaster and I stupidly just bought large normal plasters from the chemist as that’s all they had in and at that point the wound ‘dried’ and formed scar tissue. I honestly believe if I’d realised what the plasters were at the time and I’d used hydrocolloid plasters he would not have the scarred as he did, and it would have been much much smaller.

I like these. I've used them on two separate occasions, in an awkward location, where and they sealed perfectly, keeping water out, when I showered, allowing my wound to heal.

In our house these are a first aid kit staple.......if you have fragile skin or run into problems with the sticky stuff they use on plasters them these dressings are a god send....not only do they encourage healing they are gentle on removal and don't cause skin tear or reaction.

Much better then another brand I tried, these actually stretch and stick properly even to a knee, only issue I have is it left a very nasty rash on my knee when I removed it, something the other brand didn't do, but I have sensitive skin and a lot of medial tape does that to me

Excellent product great healing properties and waterproof. Definitely recommend DuoDerm to anyone who has a wound/cut that is painful. It is one of the effective products to use and is definitely value for money

My hubby was given a packet of these sheets by dermatology for a recurring problem on his fingers. You put a little of the ointment supplied by the doctor on the sore areas, then wrap enough of the sheet around the finger, adding a little more if needed, and then I close my fingers and hand around the whole thing and hold it in this position for a couple of minutes. The warmth of my hand seals the sheet to his finger, keeping it sterile while the ointment and the benefits of the impregnated sheet do their work. Absolutely brilliant thing!

Excellent pansement. Il avait été recommandé à ma maman par son médecin. J'ai retrouvé la qualité et l'efficacité de ce produit. A choisir sans modération pour les plaies qui ont un peu de mal à cicatriser.

Prima product, ik gebruik het als onderpatch voor het infuusje van mijn insulinepomp. Wel prijzig.

Se pegan perfectamente

Ho riportato una brutta ferita alla caviglia, proprio sul malleolo, che non voleva rimarginarsi. Ho provato i cerotti con la connettivina ma mi provocavano un bruciore terribile e non riuscivo a tenerli, allora il medico mi ha consigliato di provare questi cerotti all'idrocolloide, utilizzati sopratutto nella cura di ulcere e piaghe. Si applicano con estrema facilità aderiscono perfettamente alla pelle e rilasciano una sorta di gel sulla ferita che piano piano, giorno dopo giorno, aiuta la pelle a ricrescere, evita la formazione della crosta (che poi si stacca e siamo da capo sennò) e dopo un po' la cute si rigenera. Nel mio caso, forse anche perchè il malleolo è zona particolarmente difficile da trattare, il trattamento è durato parecchio, una ventina di giorni, ma alla fine è guarito senza fare la crosta. Io tenevo lo stesso cerotto anche più giorni, sono resistenti all'acqua quindi potete fare tranquillamente la doccia, io ci andavo anche al mare e in piscina, non si staccano. Dopo 2/3 gg quando il cerotto aveva rilasciato tutto il suo gel lo sostituivo, si stacca senza fare male e non irrita la pelle.
