GLRGW19 Gull Wing Hydroponic Grow Light Reflector

Came missing a screw to attach the wings, once I contacted the seller I promptly received an 8pack of replacements. But last nite when I went to attach the wings, I found the screws were too long, prob a quarter inch longer than the originals. Luckily I heard a noise that caused me to stop and investigate before tightening it on down and most likely cracking the tube. I emailed the seller and am waiting for a response. Otherwise it seems to be high quality. I already had the Apollo horticulture 600w w the gull wing reflector but it made my 4x4x6.5 tent but temps were getting too high . I put the tube in with ducting coming in a lower opening, thru the tube, up thru the ceiling opening and out thru a 240 cfm fan (not at full power even) and the temp in the tent is the same as the ambient room temperature. This also allows me to control the humidity in the grow space since the exhaust for the light doesn't interact w the air in the tent.It's a simple set up, goes together in a few minutes no problem. And it'll plug strait in to ur existing six hundred watt ballast. It's really a great upgrade for your set up while not spending a lot if moneyI'll update once I've gotten the correct screws

These lights are amazing for the price very well made I mean the tube and wiring part, the reflector is good as well just have to put it together but no worries was still easy to install and took 15 minutes to put 2 of the reflectors together, very simple didn't need the instructions at all I didn't even look at them just put it together without them. The only down side is that it comes with 8/32 threaded screws but did not come with 8/32 nuts but I went to my local Lowe's hardware store and for 2 dollars got enough 8/32 nuts for these screws not a big deal just don't understand why they don't give you these threaded nuts with your screws. But the lights work very well and I have a 600 watt light bulb and ballast hooked up to one tube each and my tent is so bright I need hid glasses by Apollo to see in my tent without blinding me it's super bright with 2 600 watt tunes and covers a wide footprint I have a 6x6 tent (perfect).

I haven't had the chance to actually use the unit since I'm still in my remodeling stage of the grow room. I have several other light reflectors by other manufacturer's and this one is as well built as the others, perhaps even more sturdy than most and the price was right in line.My problem was when I want to plug it in, the male end of the wire that plugs into the female wall unit would not fit, the configuration is different from any I've ever seen.So, I'll drive down to Ace hardware and get either an adapter or plug replacement.Bummer.

This dramatically reduced the heat that reaches my plants from my 600 watt hps. I've had it about 3 days and I'm happy with the results, i wish i could afford to set up the duct and extractor fan to increase the effective cooling by the tube, but just a bare cool tube has cut my necessary height from the canopy by about half. With my average distance being between 18-12 inches, it is now held about 6-10 inches from the canopy effectively increasing the lumens received by the plant.Very wide angle of reflection, covers a larger area than my previous wing reflector and the light intensity looks just as strong even after coming through the glass of the cool tube.!

I been using a hps light for awhile, with a regular reflector! I became aware of parabolic reflectors and wanted to try one. I order this one because it came with hps or MH socket and 15' cord, so I less thing to buy. It come in pieces and they recommend a chair, I would suggest a 5 gallon bucket. It goes together pretty easy! Took about a half hour. It appear to made with good stuff. I hung it up and it fit my ballast, it works great. Spreads the light over whole area evenly, just as I want. It was delivered in four days and package well. In short I would recommend this reflector and Apollo Horticulture as the company to get one from. Good price and product, very happy with this purchase!!

It's the same hood that comes on hpsgrowlight.com; I ordered this one because of the 2 day shipping. Item was damaged, one of the screw in retainers was bent and the screw was improperly threaded. The inner box was perfect, so I know it got shipped like that. It'll work, and because I'm on a schedule I won't send it back, bit they will have to do something for me if I will order from them again. It's a quality item if in perfect condition, a great buy for the price, but there are too many people selling the same item to trip about it.

Bought three of these so far.Easy assembly as far as I'm concerned. They have always included a few extra screws just in case and I find it fun to make it all come together.This is what I consider the perfect hybrid for a reflector.They cool well (more efficiently then a box reflector with glass) and reflects awesomely, a great spread of light. Plus they are lite weight!I was concerned a couple of times that they might be damaged.The boxes had shown some mishandling but they are packaged so well they could probably take quit a beating.When I assembled the second two I later bought, I made sure I had a small wrench set, a phillips screwdriver, a vacuum and some glass cleaner near by.Some styrophome from the packaging sticks to the parts but nothing that can't be cleaned off as you assemble.Very happy with these reflectors overall!

I recently purchased and started using this umbrella reflector after having used a box reflector for some time and I must say its a big improvement on the amount of light getting to my plants. Also, it is much easier to keep cool with the exposed bulb. Assembly was quick, however the directions were not very user friendly and the pictures were not clear. Also, the metal fans that make up the umbrella portion of the reflector were made of thinner metal than what I had expected, but for the price is more than understandable. The edges are quite sharp so make sure to wear gloves during assembly. Having the two hook points makes it quite easy to hang and angle the light for your best coverage. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I am an Apollo fan and really like this product. However in a tent situation, consider your space depending on the size of tent you are using. Not so great due to room issues in the smaller tents.

But there isn't any switch to turn off or on. Other then that it's just like the description.
