Verilux Twin Tube Fluorescent Light Bulb - 36-Watts

The "Happy Light" for which these replacement tubes were purchased was prescribed for me to treat depression. After a lengthy treatment period I failed to see any significant improvement in my condition. In addition to the lack of effectiveness, the tubes have a remarkably short life. The original tubes didn't even last for the prescribed treatment period. The original tubes may have been part of a bad batch. Although I have not seen any recognizable improvement I keep the light on for at least 12 hours a day for my Parakeet.My apartment is in a basement and does not get any direct sun light. I am disappointed with how often I must replace the tubes. If I ever have to replace the fixture, the new one will use a different tube.

the lights went out on my mood light. I ordered two replacement light bulbs, but I discovered that I only needed o bune light bulb. I replaced one light bulb, plugged in the unit and expected the one new light bulb to work, but to my surprise both lights lit up. I guess in this unit the bulbs are dependent on each other. If one light bulb fails the unit stops working. Anyhow I have an spare bulb now for whenever the 2nd lightbulb eventually burns out...

I got this for my honey, and he's found that when he uses it in the mornings [he has to get up quite early for work] he's less tired in the am, and more able to sleep earlier at night. I'm glad we got it, and feel it was very much worth it!Highly recommend it for folks with sleep rhythm problems, or low energy/mood related to either living in a 'dark' place or seasonal trouble with mood.

If I didn't have my Happy Light (and replacement bulbs), I could not work in my windowless office. Yes, this is just ONE bulb in the package, and that suited my needs precisely. I've had these bulbs last for 4-5 years of daily 8-hour use, so I'm hooked. Yay.

I was surprised, when I looked at the manufacturer's site, to see how much replacement bulbs cost. This one is exactly the same bulb, Verilux brand, for abut 55% of the direct cost. And, of course, it works well, as all Verilux products seem to.

Bought these for my Verilux "Happy Light". They're cheaper on Amazon but made by Verilux. Great purchase!
