Cougar Hydraulic Vortex CF-V12SET-RGB HPB 120 mm Cooling Kit with Tri-Directional Lighting and Remote Control (3 Pack)

The Cougar Hydraulic Vortex RGB HPB 120 mm Cooling kit is beautiful and easy to install, use, setup! I installed this on an MSI Ace MEG X570 motherboard using 1 of 2 provided aRGB headers (Jrainbow). Mystic Lights can also control these lights. It is NOT in the instructions on how to do this, but if one wishes to sync the fan colors/patterns with the motherboard, simply push the power button on the Cougar remote control until the lights go out. Then use the Mystic Lights settings in the MSI Dragon Center App to control the LED lights on the fan. The remote control offers quick and easy changes, but Mystic Lights offers MANY more lighting effects! There are A LOT of presets which you can also adjust to your liking. Plus there is Ambient lighting for games which is cool. I have not tried it, but the lights will automatically adjust depending on the game you are playing!Not a single LED was out. I learned the hard way lining up the fans in the same direction does make a difference in how they look once the lights get going. Just make sure the labels all face the same direction. Yes, you’ll have to get creative managing the wires!Here I am rambling on like I’m going to be playing on this computer! I am referring to a gaming PC I built for my daughter for her 18th birthday. I installed 6 of these fans (3 were included with the Helor 360 Liquid CPU Cooler), and 4 FCB 120 fans. They are quiet, well-built, and with rubber at each corner, there is no vibration against the case nor each other. Everything fits nice and snug. The power connection was cheaply made though. The core box requires peripheral power from the psu. I could not daisy chain my two core boxes together, so I chose the best of the 3 power cables I had and I could only plug in one directly. Another I had to clip the corner with wire cutters to make it large enough to fit. It’s still tight enough where it is not a fire hazard. Still, they were terrible quality compared to the Thermalake connections along side them. The other connections were great and held up well to my repeated plugging and unplugging, and meticulous cable management. I would definitely buy again especially since I only build on ASUS and MSI motherboards which already support these fans! Well done Cougar! You made this mother’s job easy!

I ordered these fans with the hope they would sync with my Asus Aura software. Spent like 30 minutes getting them installed only to find out that they aren't compatible with current gen motherboards at all. Overall, a mistake on my part, but disappointing. I'm not going to knock it for my mistake however, they're still gorgeous fans, extremely quiet, and overall they've spiced up the look of my computer very well.Pros:1. LIGHTS. Plenty of them.2. Super quiet fans3. Easy install4. Plenty of lighting effectsCons:1.Not compatible with current gen motherboards RGB sync software2. Controller is a bit confusing to use, and it's hard to find a specific light pattern with your lights. The controller makes no sense whatsoever.Aside from the confusing controllers, I have no other major complaints about these fans. They work, they look good, although I'm probably going to replace them with something that supports Asus Aura on current-gen motherboards.(UPDATE 7/9/20) I'm stupid. You have to turn off controller inputs before you can sync the lights. Solid 10/10 would recommend

These are absolutely BEAUTIFUL fans and they work well with my AURA software on my ASUS Strix Z370-I Gaming motherboard. They work well in terms of performance too, and are noticeably quieter than my last set of PWM fans.Here's my reason for taking 1 star off of this review:These fans are meant to be daisy chained together to work with the motherboard's built-in addressable RGB header. The first 2 weeks of owning these fans I was forced to use the controller because I couldn't get the cable to fit on my motherboard's header. It was very loose and when I was able to get it to sit on the header, it wouldn't light up the fans. I thought it was a faulty product so I contacted Cougar and Isaac asked me to send him pictures of the problem. As I was sending him a video, I decided to test out all three cables instead of just the one I tried previously. Turns out, only ONE of the THREE cables provided for daisy chaining actually worked with my motherboard. The other two were loose and did not work, except when connected to the other fans with the working one powering from the motherboard. Mind you, these cables are identical and not meant to be in a specific order, so it wasn't one of those situations where only one was SUPPOSED to work with the motherboard. They are all supposed to work, but it turned out only one of them worked with the board.After weeks of having to use the controller, I can now sync the lights with my AURA software which allows for seamless and infinite customization. I just hope the issue I had will be fixed for the next batch of products.TL;DR: These fans are beautiful, quiet, and work well, except for one flaw in the daisy chain cables.

Very Easy to install. They look beautiful in my Cougar Essence Case. The fans at 100% run quiet compared to regular case fans. The controller makes the RGB lights on the fan look amazing with the different modes. Overall amazing value for the money. Also, keeps my Radiator cool.

Came in a nice product bo, it was packed neatly, each fan has its own rubber mounts to reduce vibration noise. Each corner of the fan has carbon fiber detail.as soon as you turn them on just leaves you speechless. Took about 20 min to cable manage and where to place the module. Module is magnetic and easy and has viarity of difrent colors cycles and styles. Overall deeply satisfied with the product

El pedido llegó más rápido de lo esperado., en cuanto a la calidad de los ventiladores es muy agradable a la vista y al tacto en cuanto a su funcionamiento y durabilidad el tiempo lo dirá. Pero por el momento se siento satisfecho con la compra.
