TC Electronic Eyemaster Metal Distortion Pedal

If you want that classic Swedish death metal buzzsaw guitar sound that Tomas Skogsberg produced at Sunlight Studios for bands like Entombed and Dismember then look no further. A boss HM2 pedal is the sort after item for achieving such classic sounds but this incredibly well built pedal from TC Electronics achieves exactly the same sonic range at a fraction of the price. Even my 15 watt Fender Blues Junior turns into a seething, snarling beast with this thing plugged into it! I’ve also used this pedal plugged into my favourite DAW through an audio interface and the sounds you can achieve are astounding! If you want a modern metal sound look elsewhere, if you’re after the classic old school Swedish death metal sound this is just the ticket. Highly recommended!

Has one thing on its mind. Some decent chugs can be obtained. Can achieve what it should, swedish style death metal. I pushed it hard and loud. Sounds meaty with deep chuggy lows, moody mids and a nice mix of highs. All depends on your rig, too. Can get more control with a decent EQ on amp. I also used a Boss EQ pedal for more control. Really though, plug in, crank it up and just enjoy. Good price.

Not the clone some make it out to be but adds a nice bit of heft to the signal. One trick pony but the price is right.

I bought this for £18 from Amazon warehouse and honestly - apart from a few finger smudges I couldn't tell anything else wrong with it. Came in its original box and with instructions so absolutely no complaints on it's "used" condition - far better than listed on Amazon warehouse IMO. As for the sound of the pedal, plenty of youtube videos showing what it can do and at this price close enough to the Boss HM-2 for me and my home playing.

Budget price but theres nothing budget about this chainsaw tone!

It looks much better than a Behringer HM300 but it's about the same quality of sound. I expected more from TC electronics. There are many HM-2 clones out there that have actually improved this kind of tone and have more features. Because of the lack of EQ or tone knob on the Eyemaster I have to tweak everything from scratch on my gear to get a decent sound. I think it's good enough if you want a tone like the first album of Entombed but you will find it hard to dial in a tone like the second half of Entombed's discography, which is what I thought TC electronics were after, a more controlled, less mushy, less noisy, more "polished" Swedish death metal sound.

For those guys that love that Swedish Death Metal,Black Metal and Swedish Grindcore PLay your favorite Entombed song Or Dismember Song and get lost in that Buzzaw Grind Distorted sound.. Beautiful! \M/

Bought it encouraged by all these positive reviews. Well, again it turns out that you should trust your own ears only. Frankly, I cannot understand all these positives. This pedal is really cheap and really bad. "Left Hand Path" and death metal sound??? Not even close!!! The sound this pedal makes is flat, poor, and lackluster. I played it with my BC Rich Warlock and Washburn guitars, using Marshall and Blackstar amps. Always the same. Not heavy at all, with poor dynamics, lack of any heaviness, and that horrible squeaky flatness. I give it two stars only because it is compact and easy to use, and if you need a pedal for some secondary grunge band then it will be a perfect choice probably. A cheap pedal making a cheap sound. Avoid!!!

I’m very impressed with the Eyemaster distortion! Think of Entombed and Dismember tones at your feet. Tried it with my band last night. It crushes! ☠️☠️☠️☠️

No es premium pero para distorsionar y aprender está sobrado, debería de venir al menos con fuente de alimentación de 9v pero hay que buscarla aparte al igual que los cables de audio que necesitarás 2.

I have tried other "HM2 clones", but this, the EYEMASTER a real beast. I love it!

この手の音色が出せるエフェクターを探していまして、 BossのHM-2が近所の実店舗の中古屋さんにたまに入荷するのですが、 お値段が中古で1万円位するので、新品で約半額で買えるこちらにしました。(2020年7月時の価格) BehringerのHM300だとさらに安く買えるのですが、色々考えて(悩んで)こちらを購入しました。 サイズは見た感じだとかなり大きく見えます。ちなみに公式サイトの情報だと 58 x 74 x 132 mm です。
