Had this for about 3 months now, holding up fine, make sure you hook it up to switched wire😅 didnt do this at first, have it running with 5500 watts (4500 and 1000w amp) and works fine, sees 5k rpms almost daily and works great, highly recommend especially for the price, sitting at about 14.5-14.8v with engine on, fits 97 Silverado vortec 305, actually makes more than 390, got a sticker said it makes like 413 max, get a big 3 1/0 ofc upgrade when getting this alt for best performance.

Alternator is amazing! Sold me a 390 amp that actually tested at 417 amp on the dyno and 203 at idle! Definitely cured my lack of amps problem. Mechman you guys are amazing. 👏

Works great, good price and fit right into my 5.3l gen 3. Everything is pretty much included you should upgrade the wire size on your vehicle.

Great alternator in my 98 Tahoe, with 2500 watts and subs!! Voltage doesn’t drop at all now

Great alternator voltage holds good now pushing around 5000 watt system with factory battery. Did the big 3 with it. It’s a need not a want if getting this alternator. Only proper is when installing if you have a brake booster and not a hydro booster. Your gauges will say something like check break booster. Doesn’t bother me any.
