Better than the netty pot
This has helped clear my sinuses so much. It is so much easier to use than the Netty Pot just be sure not to squeeze to hard or it'll mess up your inner ear. I use it and my 6 year old daugter uses it and it works like a charm.

Team Xlear!!! More effective than every saline spray tried
The xylitol (basically sugar, for those unfamiliar) makes it more effective than saline, and that effectiveness was immediate on the first experience. No saline spray has been like that. A friend got a bottle and was also impressed with the drainage it prompted. I got him on it because he has frequent nosebleeds, and I personally find saline to be more drying than hydrating, from when I had my own nosebleed days. The grapefruit seed extract in it burns slightly sometimes when there's dryness, but the spray itself isn't drying. The pump is truly a MIST of wide coverage. The cap pops on and off (doesn't screw) and it somehow - also impressively - manages to stay on completely. Doesn't even weaken or loosen with frequent popping on and off. The bottle appears to be shatterproof and also doesn't leak. I feel very safe with this holding receptacle among other contents in bags.Angling of bottle tip and head positioning does matter. Tip in towards middle of nose for sinuses; tipped out towards ears for eustachian tubes. Your head is apparently also supposed to be face-down to to the ground, with the bottle held completely vertical. That last part, jury's out on but tip angling is all true. When the liquid gets too low for the tube and begins asking for pump battles, I save it and add it to another bottle. Especially when it only needs one pump's worth for effectiveness, unlike other sprays... Yep, no waste of goodness!Fyi, I also use the Xlear packets for Neti pot sinus rinses and it also works awesomely. It doesn't have the seed extract, but does have baking soda in it. Also worth checking out. Additionally have the red MAX congestion spray, with the capsicum, aloe vera, and grapefruit seed extract in it. I haven't needed to pull out the heavy artillery beyond trying it once so I can't comment on its effectiveness when sickly yet. However, this company appears to be of quality products so I have no doubt MAX also would be effective in its task, as the rest of their products are.I'm Team Xlear over here... can you tell? LOL

The best!!!!!!
I'm allergic to everything so I need to use my neti pot. Except regular saline packets tend to irritate my sinuses. I'm so glad I ran across this stuff because it's absolutely wonderful. It doesn't leave a taste, my sinuses & nose are very comfortable afterwards, It's easy to use even though I didn't think it was going to dissolve because of the size of the crystals. They're more like granulated sugar as opposed to salt that you get with the saline solutions. But it dissolved instantly! I'm very happy and able to use this twice a day now without any problems. Definitely value for my money! Highly recommend.

nose rinsing is the way to go for mild colds and nose irritations
I've started to use this sinus rinse kit because i seen this tv show that shown the sinus cavity and how modern nose sprays contract the blood vessels and shrinks nasal cavities allowing you to breath. What's wrong with that you think? Well over time the shrunken blood vessels grow more vessels and scar tissue to overcome the medicine that shrunk them in the first place. So guess what, you end up with permanent nose clog, and the doctors on the show recommended that you just rinse straight up, or slightly tilted to one side to drain out the other nose while saying ahhhhh, then it doesn't go into your ears which you dont want. You just want a gentle washing of the sinus cavity, not a jet stream up the nose. Anyways, you'll thank me later when you start rinsing and saving your nose from damage. Now on to the review, it's just as pictured. The plastic bottle is just a gentle squeeze bottle with the straw attached inside the top, you mix half a packet of xylitol, sea salt, sodium bicarbonate (it's pre-mixed) in 8-10 oz of luke warm bottled or sterilized water and thats it, let it dissolve. The manufacturer recommends tilting head forward, closing off one nostril, and just squeezing gently to get a stream going up while breathing in, to allow it to rise and hit all of the sinus cavity. Of course if you breath too hard you'll inhale the liquid, so just enough to go up a little ways and it will just come drain back down out of the same nostril. I like my ahhhh method better lol, but you'll find that you will discover your own way and do it that way. Just remember a gentle rinse is all you need. I just wish they'd give you like 20 packets as most of the ingredients are cheap.Update: i found that xlear and other companies make and sell the same xylitol birch type (not corn), on amazon so just mix with your own sea salt or kosher salt and bicarbonate and save some money. Anyways, what i found is if i'm anywhere close to catching a cold or something, like i feel some congestion coming on, or a sneeze. I have been rinsing once or twice, with lukewarm water and this mixture, and i haven't caught any major colds or they go away faster, no sore throats in two years. Now i can't positively say it's just this nose spray, but i know it's helping in some way as i haven't caught any major colds in years.
