Neewer NW-8000 USB Microphone for Windows and Mac with Suspension Scissor Arm Stand, Shock Mount and Table Mounting Clamp Kit for Broadcasting and Sound Recording (Black and Gold)

(Note that in the picture I have a pop filter instead of the supplied sock. The sock is great, but I like the golden color of the microphone visually and prefer using the pop filter on streams.)I purchased this microphone trying to avoid the $100 threshold that seems to be the entry requirement for a quality condenser microphone, and was hoping that I would find a diamond in the rough with the Neewer vs something like a Blue Yeti. I was also encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive reviews for other Neewer microphones. The only thing that did make me hesitate were other people mentioning the low volumes for the non USB models where they needed to run an XLR input into a separate USB power supply.Does this model suffer such a fate? I'm happy to say: no. The microphone is plug and play and sounds great. It was an instant and dramatic improvement from my built in headset that I have in my Logitech G933 and that's a $179 headset. It's also been a huge improvement to my streams, skype calls, and my podcast.However... the supplied suspension arm stand is pretty flimsy and is stiff to move. Those two things in combination with each other made the supplied stand bend pretty quickly and severely. Within 3 days I needed to order a sturdier stand. Oddly enough Neewer makes a really good suspension arm stand, but it's not supplied with the microphone. The shock mount however is great. I would order this understanding you will absolutely need to replace the supplied stand.For the asking price you're getting a great condenser mic that has an insane price/performance ration in my honest opinion. If you want to take your voice chat game to the next level or just need an instant improvement to videos and podcasts this is the first step I would recommend you take. Would have given this 5 stars if the mic stand wasn't bogus.

The mic is super easy to setup and use. Plug it in and go. No drivers, no setup, nada. The arm takes a little bit to get in a good place as it is quite stiff and unwilling to move. On top of that, the mounting method for the desk attachment isn't great either, and will probably get replaced or modified at some point. I've had to tighten it numerous times and it still wobbles quite a bit.Aside from that I'm quite happy with the purchase. It's a good price and performs quite well. Now to find a pair of headphones to go with it, as the G430 headset I have is quite painful to wear for more than a few hours.

Audio experts may not find this mic impressive, but it's met all of my expectations. Whether recording voice over, live streaming, podcasting, etc, this is a great intro mic. I had issues with the 3.5mm audio hack version of the same mic but this usb version is crisp and clear. The adjustable arm is a great addition and very easily positioned. I'm a big fan of Neewer and am happy I can rate their audio products as highly as their photo and video equipment.

Great mic for its price, it also comes with a pop filter so don't make the same mistake as me buying an additional pop filterBut keep it in mind that this thing jamms easilyI have my filter 4-5 inch away and it still creates static sometimes

The media could not be loaded.  love it. just got it today and is already better than my previous mic. the stand is bad so you should buy a better one, but over all amazing. giving it 4 stars because it wasn't delivered on time. (one day late)

I want to report about the microphone i had bought the package was really good looking unfurtenatly the microphone i pulled out adn plugged occured to be with a technical problem. The first few days I tried to solve this problem by myself like I even bought a new cabel for this microphone because i thought the problem of the noise that comes from my microphone is caused by the cabel but as I bought the cabel and plugged it in it didn't work the your microphone still does this noise and i don't know what to do I feel like i just been tricked by buying your product. I'm waiting for your reply. Thank you

This is everything I was looking for in condenser microphones, absolutely no complaints. Although they are not expensive, they look the same as a set of microphones purchased by my friends for hundreds of dollars. I got a very amazing sound quality in the limited production cost, and I wanna express my heartfelt thanks to this seller.

The pole that goes into the clamp for the desk snapped from the weight of the microphone, not the best quality its a cheap aluminum pole that holds it up. The microphone quality is great it’s just the actual stand that isn’t the best

El ADC integrado aunque no es el mejor hace un trabajo decente sin problemas obvios, la tierra está bien aislada. La calidad del micro es buena y la respuesta de frequencia para voces no es la ideal pero se escucha bien y además sirve para grabar cualquier cosa/instrumento. Si el ADC fuese de 24bits estaría mejor, con 16bits es muy básico. El problema que tiene el kit es el brazo, el pie no esta bien sujeto, y luego uno de los ejes para girar el micro es intragable porque si le das al lado contrario se desafloja y tienes que quitar el cable para darle una vuelta completa al micro y así quede sujeto. La contrucción en general es decente considerando el precio pero los dos problemas que tiene son demasiado graves, esta algo inclinado constantemente por una de las juntas o el pie, todavía no lo tengo claro. El cable usb es demasiado corto si quieres instalarlo por el brazo de una forma presentable.

Simple plug and play into windows, doesn't take long to fix a bit but you turn the shaft at the end to make sure the mic is on the top side and tighten it.

Mi sono deciso all'acquisto di un microfono di questo tipo perché avevo continui problemi con quelli economici a jack. Inoltre ultimamente la scheda sonora del PC trasmetteva rumori e fischi ai miei interlocutori su skype (software che uso quotidianamente) per questo ho deciso di prendere la versione USB.Il microfono nel suo complesso sembra piuttosto ben fatto, collegato al pc viene riconosciuto subito dal sistema (win10) senza alcun problema, qualche minuto per configurarlo nei vari software e il gioco è fatto. Bypassando la scheda audio (è visto come una periferica a se stante) ho risolto tutti i problemi di cui sopra.Per un uso professionale in ambito di registrazione credo ci si debba rivolgere a microfoni di altro tipo, tuttavia per un uso amatoriale è ottimo.Il contenuto della confezione (ben imbottita) è conforme alle immagini.Il braccio non è lasco quindi regge bene il microfono senza alcun problema. Per l'uso che ne faccio poi, una volta piazzato sono rare le volte che devo ri-orientarlo.

The overall tone is great, but I find it to be a bit quiet. I have to be very close to the mic to get enough volume.Update... I find that this mic produces absolutely no background fuzz, which is great, but the volume level is discouraging. My mic volume is set to record at 100% volume in Windows and I am getting very low sound volume. It would be nice if this mic had its own volume boost control. I have to edit every recording to boost the volume up to normal levels. Other than that, it is very clear sounding.Update #2:I discoverd a solution to the volume level... In the microphone properties in Windows 10, under Advanced, DESELECT "Enable audio Enhancements" under "Signal Enhancements." The audio becomes much lowder.

The boom arm is a little weak, and the mic picks up a little too much ambient sound (in my opinion), but otherwise, an awesome mic kit.
