Sturdy, Long Battery Life
Great family communication devices! We bought two sets and they connected easily. The flashlight was an absolute bonus, as the kids love to walk in the evenings. Battery life has been much longer than other brands and they are extremely sturdy.

Great value for the money
Got. These for the grandparents on the farm. Grandparents won't wear a life alert but he carries a walkie talking. Great distance and clarity

Solid walkies for a good price
These walkie talkies are pretty solid for the price, Literally and figuratively lol. We took these on a cruise and while inside there was a lot of interference and static, outside they work really well. I tested them outside and could hear the other person from two blocks away, and you could hear them loud and clear. Charging was fairly quick, about 3 hours and the battery lasted about 3 days of full use. They also survived a massive downpour while in St. Croix. Theyโre lightweight and have a clip which was convenient to put in belt loops or fanny packs. I will also note that the volume level was really good, it even has a lil alarm for if it gets lost, you can use another walkie to call it. The variety of channels is nice, and having sub channels was also a plus since there were times where other people would enter our channel, so keep that in mind. So, if youโre thinking of using it for a cruise, just know that being inside there will be a lot of static, hence the 4 stars. Other than that they are really good for camping, hikes or just casual use.

Great for kids without phones
We bought these for my son to be able to communicate with us while we are camping so he can have a little independence and ride his bike around. They worked great and hold a charge for a long time.

Decent Radios for the Money - I am pleased
This is a decent radio for the money. You are talking FRS here. There will be natural limitations and blockings because the radio is UHF. It is also a low-watt radio (not much power), by federal regulation. It is a fun radio for proximity, and inexpensive enough that if it gets broken, ends up in the water, or falls 40 feet, it really doesn't matter much. He can always purchase another set. It is not a miracle radio, and don't expect to get what is advertised unless you're going on all flat terrain or hill to hill, top to hill top. Buildings will block your signal. Terrain can block your signal. Trees can absorb some of your signal. As for privacy, what they mean by privacy is non-interruption. Anyone on that frequency will be able to hear you. What the privacy function does is stop people from interfering with your conversation. Unless they can find the right codes. I think you are getting good value for the price. I think the problem is when people have too high an expectation for this type of radio.

Great set
I wish I would have gotten 2 sets to begin with on prime day lol. I got one to try them first. My twins are awful about not looking at their phones, so I got these. They're awesome. Audio is extremely clear, even when I walk onto our 6 acre property. I like these so much after using them for 10 minutes, I bought another set. Easier to get ahold of my family when we're spread out. You can change ring tones, turn the beep off, privacy codes too. Highly recommend.

Not actually USB-C, only charges from included A-to-C cable. Otherwise passable little radios.
These have a USB-C-shaped port on the side, but it is not really USB type C, it just has the same shape. It cannot charge from standard USB-C sources like PD chargers, laptop chargers, or any other spec-compliant source. It can ONLY charge from an A-to-C cable, like those included in the package. For those of us trying to go USB-C for everything, that's a huge disappointment. I returned them, as this is very important to me. And it's a sign of huge laziness on the manufacturer's part -- the resistor to enable PD compliance costs well under a penny, they just left it out! Radio operation is pretty straightforward. There's no volume knob, you use the up/down buttons for that. (After hitting MENU, these change channels.) Speaker audio is surprisingly good for such a small radio, and the range of volume adjustment is adequate. There's no squelch adjustment, you're just stuck with the default. (But you can hold volume-down for MON monitor mode, which opens the receiver as long as you hold the button.) There's no way to force it to stay in monitor mode, that I've found. NOAA weather-radio is a nice touch, but it's very basic, with no SAME decoding. Just push WX to enter weather mode, and the up/down buttons to find a channel. You can't adjust the volume in WX, gotta go back to main for that, tweak it to your liking, then re-enter WX. The manual says there's an alert mode but I couldn't make it activate. The battery compartment looks like it might've been sized to handle 3xAA batteries too, but there are no contacts for them, only for the included lithium pack. So when that pack dies, the radio's likely useless, consider it disposable. Size-wise it's just perfect to fit in the hand, or clip unobtrusively to a belt. The belt clip is quite good, and removes easily if you don't want it, just squeeze the release and slide it off. Build quality seems adequate, given the price, and I wouldn't be concerned about dropping the unit. Overall, a nice little unit, and if it was actually USB-C, I'd buy a whole bunch of them.

Great quality!
These walkie talkies are so great! My little boy received these for his birthday and he hasn't stopped using them since he got them. He's 6 and wanted a phone for his birthday (obviously not happening, haha) as he's got teenage siblings who have phones, so he is super happy to have his own 'phone' now and has been happily chatting to his siblings on them, playing spies, etc. These have such clear transmission and lasting battery power. Really happy with the purchase!

Worth it
For the price these worked very well. We went on a road trip with a few people and while driving had no problem hearing each other. The kids seem to like than as well.
