I am relatively new to matcha, been drinking this on and off for past few months. When I first tried one, I paid £6 from supermarket, it was disgusting so bitter. I just thought that’s how it was suppose to be. Did some research and brought another popular brand, paid £16 for 100g, this was better but was not in love with it. Tried this one and wow what a difference, I am now a matcha lover. I have learnt you have to pay for the good stuff. 4 stars as it’s so expensive for what you get. I’m going to try an even more expensive one! Probably blow me away, lol! But I would totally recommend this it’s really good.

Nice bright green colour and very good flavour for iced matcha lattes. The tin is cute and also protects the matcha from oxidizing.

A little goes a long way so the 30 gram tin lasts surprisingly long, and it froths beautifully when whisked, creating that perfect creamy layer on top. I love using it both for a simple matcha latte and for baking because it keeps the authentic flavour without being bitter or chalky like some lower quality powders. Friends and family actually noticed when I made a cup and kept asking where I got it from, which made me feel like a bit of a fancy tea wizard. Overall it is top quality ceremonial grade matcha that tastes authentic, looks gorgeous, and makes any tea moment feel special.

This matcha powder is a beautiful shade of green and makes really gorgeous matcha lattes. Looks wise, I give it a 5/5. However, it doesn’t taste that nice, which is quite an important factor when it comes to matcha. First of all, the taste lacks strength and unless you add a lot of the powder, you can barely taste the matcha when you add milk to it and it just tastes like straight up milk with a hint of grass. Second, it lacks the creaminess that other matcha powders have and just isn’t as enjoyable as other ones. It also takes quite a lot of time to whisk it up, and the powder takes longer to dissolve compared to other matcha powders, but this isn’t too much of an issue. It is also an organic matcha powder which is an added bonus, with many health benefits too. It is sold at a fairly good price point and is quite affordable so I can’t complain too much. I still use it and it’s not necessarily bad, but there are definitely nicer matcha powders on the market. I probably would not purchase again.
