Bell Hub Adult Commuter Bike Helmet

this is an outstanding helmet. I deducted one star simply because I needed to purchase a 3rd party foam fit kit (also from Amazon) to fill in some of the non-vented empty spaces and get the helmet to fit properly.I am a daily commuter with a roughly 20-mile round trip, all on city streets. I didn't understand it at the time but the sunshade/ballcap bill of the helmet has turned out to be a real star. I used it (and several bits of gorilla tape) to affix a rear view mirror-on-a-wire in a way I never could have done if I had been trying to affix to the helmet itself.The chinstrap buckle is convenient to adjust and attach/detach. Not something to take for granted if you are taking it on and off all the time. The helmet is very comfortable and that same chinstrap is not noticeable to me as I ride. Another thing not to take for granted. As to protection I won't know until I bash against something but it certainly seems well made and if Bell doesn't know how to make a safe helmet nobody does. I did very much like the helmet's protection of the back and rear of the head.The clip on the back holds a Blackburn Twofer light securely and in perfect position like it was made just for it, which it may have been since Bell sells them on their web site. Keeping a light high up to the rear like that is a BIG safety bonus in an urban setting.Lots of little thoughtful touches on this helmet, when you add them up. If Bell could include - or sell - a dedicated fit kit for those who need or want them this helmet would be perfect. As it is, its still very much worth the money and then some

It's been a solid helmet. I dropped a star because the black finish seems to scratch white when you rub it or drop it on something rough. That's just cosmetic tho.The chin strap and suspension are very comfortable, 8/10 points. Hardhats IMHO are the most comfortable, but for a suspension helmet, this is a good one.The ventilation on the helmet is ridiculous, 10/10. If in doubt, put your hand over the front vent and see how fast your head heats up. Take your hand off and see how fast it cools down. It'll make you a believer. Very airy helmet.The aesthetics, it's a stylish helmet, 7/10. I get comments here and there on campus. Would be 10/10, but for the issue with scratches.

I really love this helmet. It is the perfect style and size for me. I love the matte black, matches my matte black ebike perfectly. It’s so extremely lightweight and comfortable that I often forget it’s on my head! I love the detachable bill, though I do wish it was made with slightly better quality. It’s a great concept, but seems a bit flimsy when you compare it to the rest of the helmet.I measured my head at 55.5 cm, so I took a chance and ordered the small (which fits up to 56cm.) It fits me perfectly with the dial expanded out all the way, but if you are on the cusp of a size and prefer the option of adjusting with the dial, then you might want to consider ordering the next size up.The thin nylon chin strap is nice, I hate when they are too bulky. And the clasp is a new design for me, but I really like the fact that I can make micro adjustments on the fly if I need to. Overall, amazing helmet. I’ll be ordering another if something happens to this one.

Great fit and fantastic airflow. One unfortunate aspect of the design is that the little dip in front of the ear cut-out interferes with my glasses, causing them to press on my nose uncomforably. If you're glasses fit wide, beware.

I wasn't too sure about buying this style of helmet, but after a few uses, this feels great. Very light weight, has the removable bill, and fits perfectly and most importantly, comfortably. It came with a one year trial of icedot (which I had never heard of before, but it does seem like a good idea) for additional safety, and it has a little fob on the back to apply a rear tail light, which I have done...again, for additional safety. For the price and with all the additional safety features, I would highly recommend this helmet.

vero nice helmet, actually the reason to give 4 and not 5 stars is because it pulls the hair on the back and I think they must improve it with a cover or something, in addition, i can’t install the mirror on it.

Can't go wrong with Bell. The rear of helmet has a spot for placing led light. I use this helmet for mountain bike riding in all weather, including winter.

Love the style of this helmet. It's light and fits great. The visor is removable and the helmet still looks great with or without it. The clip at the back holds just any style of clip mounted bike light so it helps you be really visible riding at any time of day.
