Great Speeds!
Wow! This is the first 3.1 USB flash drive that transfers at advertised speeds. Movie files take less than a minute (6gb). I’ve included a screenshot from flashbench with benchmark speeds and posted the log below. I like that the flash drive has both a 3.0 and 3.1 connector. No matter where I go, I can connect my flash drive. I want to also note that I am using the front panel of my PC when I ran the benchmark. Might see increased speeds when using the back of the computer connected directly into the MOBO.Just some words of advise. I you are having issues with transfer speeds, try plugging the drive into the back of the PC.Refreshing devices.Refreshing devices. Fast read & write speed, small, fits well in USB port, and it was on sale.
Pros:I bought a SAMSUNG Duo Plus 256GB USB flash drive on sale for around $43.99 and that's a good price compared to its competition in July 2021.Its read & write speeds are fast, although similar to ALL flash drives that I have used, its speed varies a lot and its speed depends on the file size and formatting of the drive. Small files write much slower than large files, and that is typical of ALL flash drives (a.k.a., thumb drives) that I have used in the past 20+/- years.Cons:SAMSUNG Duo Plus' write speed varies a lot, but it writes faster than the Kavolen drive that I have, and this SAMSUNG drive writes much faster than the Elefull drive that I have.Comparisons:My Elefull drive was lower priced $ but it developed multiple ''bad sectors'' after using it for 1+ months. My Kavolen drive had more and more slowdown issues in reading & writing data after using it for a month. So far, after using this SAMSUNG drive for 1 month, I haven't noticed any read/write issues or bad sectors.

Compact and handy
The adapter it comes with for 3.1 is next to useless. Not a very solid connection and only works for a few seconds. It will heat up and PC claims nothing is connecting after that. USB-c of course works fine if you have that connection then nothing to worry about. Don't mistaken the speed rating on these of however, it's misleading when they talk about the "ram" or cache on usb sticks. It's about what you'd expect and nothing impressive, but it is very useful with how compact it is and size of memory. A worthy buy.

It is a good, reliable drive
I am a programmer and use these things a lot. Most of these are very fast, but overheat and slow down. After enough over heating cycles, they just stay slow. This thing gets warm, but not overly hot like my other speed demons. I never just leave it plugged in for that reason. From a speed standpoint, it is still dialed in and flying. The little USB-A to USB-C converter is awesome since my customer machine is all USB-C and my machine is both, but my company issued Surface Laptop is all USB-A along with my many older machines, thereby making it easy to float around the fleet and transfer stuff. It feels stout, fits into the machines well, and chugs away quickly, so really there is no downside here. The only reason I didn't go for the larger drives is simply because I live in fear of losing it. I wish someone would make a way to find a stick when you lose it like a Apple tag or whatever. I would buy that drive!

Fast, Small, and Practical Flash Drive
Purchased the 256gb drive and it is noticeably faster than my other flash drives. Transferred 27+gb in less than two minutes. Before using the drive, I formatted it into Apple’s APFS format since I don’t really touch PC’s unless I am paid and have mentally prepared myself. For some of those folks having performance issues, I suspect the formatting may be a reason especially if it is either a non-native format or a format intended for 32bit architecture. It’s a little more expensive than other flash drives, especially for the 256gb one but considering the performance difference and comparing it to others on the market, it is reasonably priced.Love that it is USB-C flash drive that also has a built-in USB-A adapter. Quite a smart and ergonomic solution. For Mac users with Thunderbolt 3/4 ports: The small size of the flash drive allows for other devices to be plugged into the port next to it.Hope the product lasts a long time.
