Works really well for my cat
I've used Stress Stopper for years for my cat for vet visits, fireworks, loud storms. The fireworks near me go on for a few days and past midnight at times. When I use Stress Stopper my cat barely notices the fireworks, almost like she doesn't hear them. One year I didn't realize my bottle was empty and my cat was so frightened because of the fireworks she hid for 3 days. I always made sure I had enough after that. For fireworks I put 3-4 drops of the stress stopper on cotton balls and place one in each room of my apartment the first day. I repeat the next day if necessary. When going to the vet I put drops on a cotton ball and place in the carrier. I also put 5 drops in the palm of my hand and rub palms together, then rub all over my cat's fur from head to tail. It works for what's stressing her out.

Magic in a bottle
I watched a YouTube video from Jackson Galaxy about traveling with cats and had to try this. I’ve taken my 3 cats on road trips to Utah twice and both trips were horrifying for them and the calming treats didn’t work. I made some other preparations for my trip to make sure they were comfortable, but I think this oil was the real lifesaver. I tried it on them before the trip to make sure they didn’t have adverse effects. I used it when they were playing and had the zoomies and it was time for me to go to bed. They calmed down straight away. This time we were actually moving to Utah, so packing and loading and driving 11hrs straight was a big deal, but with this oil they were fine the whole time! Just napped all day! We also used it to help acclimate them to the new home, which also had a puppy. They didn’t care about the puppy one bit and they felt right at home. I’m telling you, this is magic. I have a large orange tabby, large black Bombay, and a small black Japanese bobtail and it worked on all 3.

Works...kind of.
My one year old cat has never been a big fan of thunderstorms. She panics and hides until well after the storm passes. She crouches under the treadmill and we can't even bribe her with her favorite toys to get her to come out. Her anxiety level went through the roof this past May when we had a hail storm. I have tried "calming" treats, play distraction, turning on music to drown out the noise of the storm, etc. Nothing really works. And I've never been thrilled about keeping those plug ins plugged into my outlets that supposedly work for this problem. I worry about fires from plug ins as I've known this to happen. But I hate knowing how stressed she is. Out of desperation I decided to give this product a try. I've since used it numerous times. First of all, the key is to apply it to your cat BEFORE a storm pops up. So as soon as the sky starts looking stormy, I drop a few drops onto my hand and start applying it to my cat's back by petting her. Then I repeat the process so that a total of 5 or 6 drops has been rubbed in to her fur. I will sometimes rub some onto her cat tree as well since she loves hanging out there. And here's what happens...instead of immediately running and hiding once the storm starts, she goes into full alert mode. She'll stay like this for a little bit until the storm gets too loud and rumbling. Then she bolts per usual. BUT when she has the Stress Stopper on her, she can easily be coaxed out of hiding and if I keep her somewhat distracted, she does pretty well as far as not retreating back to her hidey hole. Does it work? Kind of. Is she LESS stressed? Yes! It's not the magical cure that I was hoping for, but it does seem to make a difference for sure. So just because of that, I will continue to use it. I feel as if this product really depends on the individual cat in my honest opinion.

It WORKS!! Skeptical, but it DID.
My cat HATES Vet visits (what cat doesn't?). She used to try and claw her way out of hard carriers and would end up hurting herself making her paws and nose bleed... She would pant, and cry, and would be terrified. I put a couple drops on treats and rubbed a little on her fur about 40 minutes to an hour before her last 2 appointments. She was calm, absolutely seemed more comfortable and grounded, only meowed a few times, and the Techs and Vet all said she was such a pleasant patient. I advised them that they did NOT know my cat, and that it was strictly this oil. Since then, they said they are looking into it as something holistic to recommend. I also work for a small family owned Pet Store which is where a customer told me about it. I'm sure the results depend on a cat by cat basis - but it is a God send now that I have to take Tigeress to the Vet a lot due to Lymphoma. Definitely worth a shot!!

Very expensive but works for about 30 mins to 2 hrs
2 stars because this solution stress stopper is very expensive. 4 or 3 stars because I believe it works and maybe just maybe it works too well. I have a rescue cat who is quite big mix of main coon, Russian blue and Nebelung. I added about 4 drops to his fur and within 3 mins he laid on his back on the carpet for about 5 to 10 mins around 5 other cats that he doesn’t get along with. He quickly got up without hissing and growling and jumped on the window sill and watched the cars that it worried me if he was ok. He is ok but quite. This is a cat that if you give him 100mg of gabapentin it won’t faze him because he is so big and stocky. I put 3 drops on a skinnier cat and he also went quite very quickly within seconds and sat calmly on a cat tree observing the big cat and they watched eachother face to face without threats like never before. It worked too well (or maybe not?!?) - well after touching the solution and patting my cats’ fur with it I smelled it and within mins I got drowsy and ran outside to get fresh air and then quickly washed my hands, nose, face and the inside of my nose. Not sure what ingredients were used as they are not all noted on the bottle but if I felt it, imagine what it does to a cat. So not sure how I feel about this product… I was thinking about never using it again if it affected me so quickly or maybe using gloves and a mask and 1 drop on the fur no more. Have not decided. I felt the smell and the taste in the back of my nose. Weird…
