Works Well, used to switch between computers (Windows) connecting to a docking station
I use this Switch to flip between a Windows laptop and PC that are connected via a Plugable docking station. At first it would not connect to the laptop when I flipped to it. The screen would just blink. I ended up plugging in a powered USB hub into the laptop and it worked. The laptop USB must not have had enough power to handle the docking station.

Abandon all hope, ye who shop here
The other reviews are all right. Digital issues: The mouse connection is very jumpy. The keyboard connection is very delayed. The switch takes about 3 seconds, which was okay for my use case, but not ideal. Physical issues: the double side tape that comes with the remote is actually too strong. I tried to scrape the remote from my desk and the remote actually broke, and half of the double sided tape is stuck on my desk. Silver lining: now I know how good double side tape can be.

Great In Concept
It’s easy to setup and It functions as a USB hub should. It also switches between the different interfaces no problem. However, there are loads of cords, and if not all of them are used you end up with a mess of cables you have to store. The little remote that it comes with is hideous, and is connected in the FRONT with micro USB; not very sightly if you’re trying to be diescrete. Other than that, it’s responsive. There’s no input lag and I haven’t encountered any connectivity issues after 2 years of use. I wish it was a little cheaper for this value as it does feel a little overpriced.

Straightforward, one-port USB A/B switcher
If you have need for a "KM" type switch, most people probably go for a 4-port USB switch, or a full-blown K*V*M switch which also switches video. But if you happen to need just a SINGLE USB PORT to be switched between two devices -- or just on/off a single device -- then this little widget does the job beautifully. I happened to have need for an easy way to "remove and re-insert" a USB cable that wasn't conveniently located. This switch comes with a "wired remote" which has a push-button to switch between A/B (in my case A=computer and B=nothing), which solved the problem nicely. I can use the handy little pushbutton to reset the remote cable a LOT quicker than getting behind the computer case, pulling the cable out, and then putting it back in. This is probably not the expected use case, of course, but it does what *I* need, so yay for me. :-)

Decent KM Switch w/Hints to Power Up RGB Keyboards and Mice
Switch works as expected. Buttons flip as they're supposed to, and the build quality is solid and good. For those of you upset that your RGB keyboards or mice don't work with the switch, it's because it's not technically a powered switch. In order to get your RGB KBs and mice working, you have to supply enough power to the peripherals. In order to get them working, you'll have to give up one of your USB switch ports, but you can plug the cable for the 4th port into a 5 amp USB phone charger, and that will supply power for the rest of the ports, so by giving up 1 switch port, you can then use the other 3 with RGB KBs and mice.

Does not work as advertised, to 1 In, 2 Out
Does not work as advertised. Does not work with 2 computers and 1 docking station to 1 monitor, keyboard and mouse. Everything works except for one computer doesn't see the monitor.

After a month of use, it shorted my pc
I've been using it for about a month and it was working OK, it lagged when switching, but it worked, I had two pcs connected to one USB dongle for most and keyboard, but after a month of use, it shorted and shut off the power supply of my PC. I replaced the power supply and computer was working well as normal until I connected this again and it shorted it again. Cannot use it, and cannot return it anymore.

I have bought three of these now because of the decent pricing, and I use them as KVM switches for my office setup. (only to switch USB devices). They certainly work great and don't need external power. But the remote wired switch pod is a bit fragile. It tends to wear out after extensive usage and cannot be ordered separately. But with this price, you cannot go wrong.

Recomendable
