If star anise were hiding from me on purpose, it would make sense. I can never find enough of it in the store, and when I do, it’s usually a sad little jar with three lonely stars rattling around. This pack solved that problem beautifully. The star anise arrived whole, fragrant, and gorgeous. Big, intact pieces with that warm, slightly sweet spice aroma that instantly feels cozy. I use them primarily for simmer pot bags, and they’re perfect for it. They hold their shape, look beautiful in the bags, and release just the right amount of scent without overpowering everything else. If you’re tired of hunting through spice aisles and still coming up short, this is absolutely worth it. Great quality, great quantity, and now my simmer pots are finally living their best life

I was glad to get started anise. It smells good and really helps with high blood sugar and digestion. I guess the two benefits go hand in hand but you get a great amount.

This was a fantastic purchase! Every Thanksgiving, I simmer apple cider in the slow cooker with orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise, and the smell is pure holiday magic. It makes the whole house feel warm and welcoming! We keep a bottle of Applejack nearby so guests can add a splash if they’d like. Star anise was surprisingly hard to find locally, so this was such a convenient and affordable find. It was perfect for our Thanksgiving tradition and I’ll definitely be buying it again for the holidays!
