Scarpa Nitro Hike Gore-TEX Hiking Boots

Only just arrived, but very comfortable straight out of the box, though I did buy a half-size larger than my normal shoe to accommodate very thick socks. I have an 'Autumn/Winter' pair of Scarpa leather boots and these have been outstanding to date: sturdy, dry and comfortable, so hoping for decent Spring/Summer performance from their lighter weight alternatives. That said, they won't have much to beat from their North Face 'competitors' that I had previously, which had cracked uppers within nine months that turned into full-on holes within twelve! A very, very disappointing product from a brand I had always thought to be decent, but then I thought the same about Berghaus until a pair of their leather boots cracked and let in water within nine months. If I make it sound as though I am hard on boots, I only walk about 15-20 miles a week, and that along simple clifftop and woodland paths. And with the Berghaus pair I followed their maintenance regime very carefully. Fingers tightly crossed for Scarpa: so far so good!

An amazing pair of boots, comfy as hell on those long rough walks, waterproof and I honestly think these are the best boots I've ever bought. Will definitly be sticking to scarpa boots from now on. Thank you

Light weight and comfortable, perfect for summer hikes. This is my second pair, the first pair kept my feet dry on a winter walk up Snowdon, thanks to the Gortex liner.
