A solid mouse!
I had this mouse for years before it finally decided to act up a bit...and that's because I was expressing some anger and the mouse was in my hand. Long story short, I hurt the wiring a bit where it enters the mouse. So it's been about 4-5 years with it and I loved it to death. I actually used it for gaming and it actually performed extremely well.It doesn't list the technical specs, but it has (back when Dell had it marketed) a DPI of 1000. It wasn't bad at all for me...which is why I bought another one years later and was so pleased it was the same one!A great mouse and a good price imo. While there are plenty of mice out there, trust that this one will serve you well. Easy 5 Stars!

Decent mouse
What's to like - or not - about a mouse? It works well, very reasonably priced, and arrived very quickly. I'm not a gamer, I only use my laptop for personal use. This works perfectly for me.

Stopped working just after 30 days.
Don’t waste your money on this. The optical sensor stopped working just after the return window closed. There was no serial number label on the product, so Dell said they couldn’t help me with any warranty. There are numbers etched into the product, but Dell customer service said they were not useful. Amazon wouldn’t help since it’s past the 30 day return window. They would take it back if I paid a restocking fee which basically makes the return worthless. Amazon gave me contact information for the seller, who I reached out to, but have heard nothing in response.*Update* shortly after writing this review, the seller contacted me and gave me a full refund on the product.

Very Compatible
Works well with my Dell XP. Plugged into a free USB port and it was ready to use without any software or downloads to worry about. I put my "roller ball" mouse away. When tracking my purchase, I was amazed that it shipped from China, but I was in no hurry to replace my old mouse so the time it took to reach my door was a few days more that if I purchased it from a dealer in the USA.

A great mouse for the price
This is the mouse a lot of computers at my local college use on their Dell computers. I liked the mouse so much, I searched around Amazon trying to find it, and sure enough there it was.The build quality of the mouse is very sturdy for the price, and I'm still using it a little over a year after the purchase. It's still going strong. The mouse is very comfortable and fits nicely in the hand. This is a great product from Dell, and I'm surprised at finding a Dell name-brand mouse at such a low price.

Average mouse
I like the design of this Dell USB optical mouse, sleek looking. It's good for left or right handers. No mouse ball to clean, ever. I don't like cords, but hey, no batteries to change! There are only three mouse buttons, left, right and middle (wheel). The wheel has the tactile "click" when scrolling, which I prefer. The only problem with this mouse is that its left mouse button wears out. Probably the right button would too, given enough use. I purchased this mouse to replace an identical one, whose left-click went south. Single clicks were registering as double-clicks, and that was causing all sorts of problems, obviously. But until the same thing happens to this new one, it's a good basic mouse that's easy to use. The last one was good at for at least a couple years. For the price (under $10), it's fine.
