SureFire Aviator Flashlights with Dual Output Multi-Spectrum LED

This is my 3rd Surefire Aviator in amber. I tried 2 of them directly from Surefire, and now this one from Amazon... ALL 3 of them have beam stability issues while on the low setting in Amber. It flickers repeatedly and without consistency. It’s as if it can’t decide exactly how much output to apply. Surefire’s customer service was excellent when I called them to exchange it, but there is some kind of engineering flaw with this model/color. If you must have the latest Surefire Aviator, try a different color or you’ll be returning it like I did.

I had the old version of the Aviator and loved it but the white light bulb burned out. No worries, it got super hot anyway. However, I didn't want to purchase a whole new flashlight just because the bulb burned out but I couldn't find the replacement. Given how much I liked the flashlight, I pulled the trigger and bought this one. Well worth it!I really like that you can rotate the upper portion which will completely turn it off (button on the back won't work), turn it to white light or turn it to red light. Then, the on/off button is a dimmer for the light intensity. Therefore, you can have dim and bright white or red light. Very cool. this is my go to light for just about everything. It is pricey but it is worth it in my opinion.

This is what I like about the Surefire products in general and especially this flashlight – it has a simple interface, works great, always comes on in low and you have the options to use either the red or white LED. Good run time from the white or red LED. The brightness of the low and high setting of the red LED is perfect and on high it is probably brighter than what you might ever need. The switching between red and white light works very slick and I don’t have any issues with it. It is a bit pricey, but I don’t mind it so much since I get a lifetime warrantee. You’ll love it if you buy it - Awesome product!

I own many flashlights, from klarus, nitecore, olight, acebeam and more, while the aforementioned lights, this ones certainly more expensive but it’s the most versatile light for the size I’ve found and owned, also tested out the durability on accident by dropping it off a ladder onto concrete several times (about 7-8 foot drops) and it survived and kept going like a champ.If the battery is getting low, only the low mode on white light will work which is nice, instead of just outright dying. In addition, for the output the battery life is very good, and in my opinion not being able to use rechargeables is worth the cost for what you get in size and weight reductions.

Great light and all but spending this type of money I would buy from the surefire website due to having to do an exchange and my 5 lumen low white light still flickers. The actually surefire box doesn’t even come with a tamper seal. I’m guessing these are the rejected ones from surefire.

Very bright solidly built Amber light protects night vision. Awesome product. Well worth the high price.

A nice light for the flight bag. Changing between white light and red isn't the most convenient, but the quality of the flashlight is great and the light is very bright.

Beam is perfect and overwhelming for a light this size. Red beam comes in handy. Never thought id spend this on a flashlight.
