Ambient Weather TX-8340 Wireless Thermometer for WS-8600 Wireless Weather Station

Bought the weather clock a while back. I remember asking if they'd ever be selling these and they stated they'd wait to see how the clock does. Well, must be going good because now this is available. My original outdoor channel got absolutely hammered in crazy storms and 113f sustained summer heat. Even died once because it got flooded but drying it out fixed it right up (although the humidity sensor is now not working right understandably). This paired up fairly easily (give it time to sync and be sure to select a different channel when putting in the batteries). Price is fair and its doing its job. Can't complain.

The transmitter provided what I needed to put my weather system back on line

This was our 2nd unit that we put quite a distance away (over 100 yds, not line of sight)and still gets good reception when the receiver is by the window. Seems to be accurate.

Same great quality as the sensor that came with my WS-8600. Got this as a second sensor to go in my garage. Installed batteries, flipped the switch in the battery compartment to "2" and turned it on. Re-synced the base and voila, got an instant reading. Just as accurate as the original (+/- one degree from my local NOAA station). Very pleased.Shipping was fast and it was packed well.

I've had this model for several years (2018) and the base unit is great but the outdoor sending unit fails after about a year and a half and needs to be replaced. In addition to the original sending unit, I am on my third replacement sending unit as of June 2021.

Not the same as the picture, which is fine by me. Actual unit has an LCD display that cycle temperature and humidity. Works fine with my alarm clock.

Used as secondary sending unit. Works fine.
