Works perfect on my 10w Diode Laser
I have used this marking spray a few times and each time it has worked perfectly. This spray is advertised for use with 25w and above CO2 lasers. The laser I have is an xTool D1 Pro, 10w diode and it works perfectly fine. Just follow the instructions on the can and don't cut corners. The spray that is left after the laser process cleans off easily under water at the sink.

From “Can’t Mark Metal” to Clean, Professional Results
I didn’t expect a spray can to change what my laser could do—but this one kind of did. I’ve always known my CO₂ laser isn’t meant for bare metal. Stainless, aluminum, brass—normally it just reflects or lightly etches at best. After trying the OMTech Laser Marking Spray, I went from “not possible” to clean, dark engravings that actually look intentional. The Moment It Clicked The first time I wiped off the excess coating and saw a deep black mark left behind, it honestly felt like cheating. It bonds during the engraving process, so you’re not just discoloring the surface—you’re leaving a durable mark. It’s More About Technique Than the Product This isn’t a “spray and magic happens” situation. What made the biggest difference for me: Light, even coats (too thick = muddy results) Letting it fully dry before engraving Dialing in power/speed settings per material Once I figured that out, results became repeatable. Where It Shines (Literally My Use Cases) I’ve gotten the best results using it for: Tool labeling (no more stickers peeling off) Small metal tags and plates Custom branding on parts It’s especially satisfying on stainless—super crisp contrast. Not Perfect—But Close Enough It can get messy if you overspray, and cleanup is part of the process. But compared to buying a fiber laser? This is a no-brainer workaround
