Make sure you are getting what you order in terms of page yield. The listing doesn't match what shows up, at least for me. The page yield was way off and it was not in retail packaging. It was brown box. Seems like a scam to me. Be careful.

I usually get about 1000 pages or so with a black cartridge or around 5 months. It is the workhorse color of the printer, the other 3 colors contain 30% less ink but they last 3 times or more longer with what I do. I bought this cartridge a good 5 weeks in advance so I can run the cartridge that is currently in there to the bitter end and just slap the new one in when my printer says to.

The black ink printer cartridge arrived just as I ran out of ink. Since it's OEM, installation and performance is flawless. Dell has a program to recycle the spent ink cartridge at zero cost so I took advantage of that. There are generic alternatives available at lower cost, but since I do not own the printer, I didn't risk creating any problems. Unfortunately, I have gummed up a couple of Epson ink jets this way. I do not know if the generic laser ink cartridges suffer from this problem.

The product is great. I have had my printer since 2013 and the reason why it still works like new is because I always used original toner cartridges. These cartridges come in 2 varieties: standard capacity (700 pages) and high-capacity (2000 pages). Obviously, the high-capacity is more expensive, but is better value for money, so I always get those. Now, twice in a row, Amazon has sent the standard capacity cartridge to fulfil my order for a high-capacity one. The only option they have to make it right is to process a refund. They can't fix the issue. I am returning again and will not buy this product from Amazon anymore. If you order, make sure you get the right product.

This was cheaper than ordering from Dell and works perfect in my printer. Would order again.
