MUELLER HOME Pro-Series 10-in-1, Stainless Steel Multi Vegetable Chopper

After a previous version of this Mueller vegetable chopper broke, I decided to give another shot at it. After comparing both side by side, I can tell this updated version feels sturdier and includes several small improvements over the previous generation which make it easier and safer to use.The redesigned locking mechanism locks the blade inserts securely in place and requires pressing an unlock button before they can be removed. It is a simple addition but it makes swapping blades feel much more secure than the older design. It also comes with a storage tray that keeps every blade organized, so I don't have to search every drawer in my kitchen trying to find the right one.Functionality is where this chopper really shines. With multiple dicing, slicing, julienne, grating, and shredding blades, I can prepare everything from salsa and salads to potatoes for fries without pulling out several different kitchen tools. I mainly use it for onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, and peppers. Everything drops directly into the container underneath, which keeps the countertop much cleaner than cutting everything on a board.I also like the flexibility it offers. Switching between blade sizes takes only a few seconds, making it easy to adjust the cut depending on the recipe. The larger dicing blade works well for soups and stews, while the smaller one produces evenly sized vegetables that look much better in salads and casseroles. Moreover, it now comes with a food holder which lets me safely finish slicing smaller pieces of vegetables without bringing my fingers close to the blade. That is especially helpful because the stainless steel blades on this chopper are extremely sharp. I learned that lesson the hard way with my previous unit after cutting my fingers more than once while chopping.It also includes a cleaning brush and scraper which are very useful for removing food trapped between the blades instead of trying to use your fingers. The updated design also allows the slicing insert to slide in from either direction, similar to the convenience of a USB C connector, making it ready to use quicker during meal preparation. It is a small detail but one I noticed immediately compared to the older model, and it was one of my frustrations with the previous version.Overall, this version feels more refined rather than just a cosmetic update. It has certainly reduced my meal preparation time, but I would strongly recommend handling the blades with caution because they are extremely sharp. If you prepare vegetables frequently, this is a kitchen tool that earns its place and is definitely worth the upgrade.

Easy to use and super helpful. Do be careful with the bladed parts as I have cut myself a couple of times taking out to clean. Very, very sharp. Worth it though for how quickly and evenly it cuts up everything!

This works great! Easy to use and replace blades. I already had a Mueller Mandolin that I bought to make Ratatouille ;) and love it. This being a chopper to dice onions and anything else so easily is awesome. Since it also works as a mandolin I'm having a hard time giving my old one away, lol. I love that it has a container the chopper sits on to catch veges. I do wish the container as slightly deeper since you can't house all the parts inside to keep it all neatly together....or if you can, it's a puzzle I havent figured out yet.

blades are very sharp, seems durable, comes with tools to help clean food from between the close blades, makes my meal prepping easier and faster

This vegetable chopper actually works pretty well and makes chopping vegetables much quicker and more consistent. My biggest issue is the cleanup. There are quite a few pieces to take apart, and it can be tedious to wash everything thoroughly, especially around the blades and smaller parts. It’s convenient when I need to chop a lot at once, but the cleanup makes me hesitate to use it for smaller jobs. Overall, it chops well, but I wish it were simpler to disassemble and clean.

This chopper is a such a welcomed kitchen gadget. It makes chopping veggies a breeze. There are different dicing and slicing options and it’s easy to clean with a brush.

Owned this for 6 months and used it several times. The chopping function works as advertised. Onions, peppers, potatoes, and similar veggies go through quickly and come out even. If all you care about is “does it dice,” it does. The problem is everything around that. My experience with this is that it should never go in a dishwasher. I put pieces on the top rack as the product claimed is appropriate. However, the plastic ended up warping. Some attachments now don’t seat without a struggle. After that, I started hand-washing, and that’s when the second issue became obvious: food packs into the blades and corners. By the time you’ve rinsed, picked, and dried everything, you’ve given back a lot of the time you saved versus chopping by hand.So the tool does the cutting job. It does not deliver the easy cleanup and time savings if that's what you expect. If you’re willing to hand-wash carefully every time and never put it near heat, it can still be useful. If you bought it specifically expecting it to be dishwasher-safe and low-maintenance, this is likely to disappoint.Would I buy it again knowing that? Probably not. Fine as a cheap occasional chopper if you accept hand-washing.

I received my veggie chopper today and couldn't wait to use it, I chopped bell peppers with little effort. It can be noisy, but when I cut the peppers in quarter pieces it was a little less noisy. The blade worked very well, smooth and precise. I really think I'm going to enjoy using this for my veggies, making my prep much quicker and easier!
