It's much smaller than I thought it would be. It's about 18 inches across

Even for a child, it is low, and a toy A very good and well made toy, and not just for banging around on. More like a novelty instrument.

Q: What is the age range for this toy

I bought this for my son when he was turning three… I’m sure it’s fine for a younger child, but it may depend on their maturity level (as far as them possibly being too rough with it).

Q: Does the piano require tuning? What are the actual dimensions of the piano? Does it come with a child bench or chair?

The tuning is fixed because the hammers hit tubes, not strings, It does not come with a bench.
