eBags Classic Packing Cubes 3pc Set

Love the idea of these cubes but the first time I used the medium one it's seams started to come apart. Have tried to contact the company but no response or offer to replace or fix the situation, hence the low review.

Why use packing cubes? What is their purpose? WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!?!If you've ever been in a hotel room rummaging around your bag, trying to find that last pair of socks you KNOW you packed, then you need packing cubes.I was skeptical. I had no clue what I would use them for. Now I want 2-3 more sets.For a normal week-long work trip:- I usually use the large cube for my daily outfits. As others mention, it is really huge and difficult to use all of the space it offers.- I use the medium size cubes for workout outfits: tops, leggings, sports bras, socks, and all my workout accessories.- I use the small cube for underwear, camis, and bras.Then when I get to my destination, unpacking is so much less stressful. I know exactly where everything "lives" inside my bag, so if I immediately need to change for a business dinner, I don't have to go digging. I usually empty out the large size cube and that cube becomes my "dirty clothes" cube. My medium cube becomes my "clothes I packed but didn't wear". Small cube comes home with accessories like belts, armband for workouts, etc.I can't really explain it, but I feel 10 times more organized and less stress with my packing cubes. I'd highly recommend. I wish I hadn't picked orange though, because it reminds me of a construction zone.

*Not verified by actual science. Oh the dread of packing a single suitcase for two people. The arguments. The frustration. Nagging about taking up too much space. Are you seriously bringing two pairs of shoes?! Not to mention the general angst of schlepping all that garbage back home in the same case. It never occurred to me there could be a way to reduce this frustration. I ordered two sets of these cubes (for 6 cubes total) and literally it saved us checked bag fees and our sanity. It's hard to describe why these work so well - other than the obvious organizational aspect of having portions of your suitcase segmented appropriately. You save on space because you are able to squish things into a designated bag, and in turn tetris those bags into the suitcase. They aren't space bags - where you vacuum out the air - but they work well because you are able to individually stuff and compress rather than trying to stuff at the end of packing the whole case. That might not make any sense - but once you use them and see the additional space you have in your bag, it's clear that you have lived too long without these gems. Two sets (2 Large, 2 Medium, and 2 small) were great for two adults and a toddler. The large easily fit 4 days of clothing for an adult, the small fit undergarments. The medium fit 4 days of clothing, undergarments, and extra shoes for 1 toddler. On the return trip, I was able to put all the extra 'clean' clothes into a medium bag, and sort all the dirty laundry into the remaining bags. Which then made my laundry sorting a total breeze upon my return. I think a set of these would make a great gift for a college student or any frequent traveler. The color selection offered by eBags are delightful and the construction excellent.

I really labored over which packing cubes to buy, but picked these one as they are made of a fairly light material, came in a range of colors and had good reviews. I also like the fact they have mesh panels that are breathable and you can see through them to see what's in each cube. They also open up completely (due to the double zipper feature) and almost act like mini individual suitcases.I am usually the type that starts off with a nicely packed suitcase, but when I get to each hotel (if on a touring vacation), I make such a mess of my suitcase, pulling everything out trying to find that one specific thing, that I thought packing cubes would be the answer. I was also sold on the concept when I went to a local travel show and saw a seminar about using them. So far, I have used these on a long-weekend trip and they worked out great -- no more messy suitcase jumble! I almost find the large one a little too large, but it worked for larger items like jeans or light sweaters. Another thing I like about this brand is that I can add to the collection with different sizes and colors if need be. I got the grey color as it is understated, yet differentiates from the black interior of my suitcase.

That's right, these things are a game changer in the world of travel packing. Once you use these you'll never want to go back to loosely packing stuff into bags or suitcases. Not only can you compartmentalize your clothing but you can fit more overall (not necessarily a good thing for us over packers...). Another nice system is utilizing one or some for dirty clothes that you can't or won't wash during your travels.For travel lovers who are 'on the road' for weeks at a time these are incredibly handy. We backpacked around Europe for 2 months and I can't imagine living out of a backpack without these. With a set system you will always know where your clothes/items are. No more digging through a backpack or suitcase and tearing up all your clothes.
