I was questioning the real value of something like this for a non-lethal home defense option. Matching it up with a mag full of pepper balls, and backed up by second mag full of kinetic ammo, this fits the bill nicely! Higher quality that the cheaper units, fits the hand well, and so far seems to be reliable. Extremely easy to load and fire, didn't have to go into a major training course for the family. Overall very happy with it!

Wow! This thing REALLY packs a punch! Accuracy to just 30 feet is spot on. The look and feel are amazing. I know it's considered "less than lethal", but the right shot can make this thing deadly. I carry it everywhere I go. But, definitely, caution is advised! If you go with the solid black, it looks very real. Don't pull or display unless you intend to pull the trigger.

In this day & time there is a need more than ever a way to defend yourself. For most that means a gun. I don’t feel comfortable with one. I have taken a gun safety but still did not make me feel comfortable. When I saw this weapon advertised, it peaked my interest. I ordered it & it came on time without any problem. Today, my husband & I tried it out and I feel comfortable with it. For me, it’s not bulky or heavy. I really feel confident in using it. No permit is required.

I never write reviews, but hopefully I can persuade you to make a better choice. If you think this is a self defense weapon for use on a human over the age of 4, you’re going to be severely disappointed, or dead. Bad guys seldom work alone, and many have needed multiple hits from a real gun to stop them.Now for the problems: first it’s not reliable enough, sometimes it fires, sometimes it doesn’t. I suspect a problem with the safety not releasing. Second, you can pull the trigger with the safety on, losing valuable time in a stressful situation. Third, it will fire when empty, without a recoil you may not be aware that you are just making noise. Adding to this problem, the loaded chamber indicator is hidden from sight while aiming. Fourth, when you reload, and you will with only 5 shots. You will find that a full magazine cannot just be slammed into the magazine well without looking, because the retainer on the magazine that holds the BB’s in will move out of the way if touched, releasing the BB’s. Lastly, unless you hit your attacker in the eye, this isn’t going to stop anyone, if they are wearing a jacket they won’t even feel anything.Pros: it’s accurate and isn’t going to damage anything. It may be marginally useful, for force on force training, just have your friend wear a jacket, eye and face protection and fire away.I purchased this to fend off the occasional aggressive dog without harming them, I’m not even sure it’s up to that. Remember this is not returnable, if it doesn’t work, tough luck. Overall, a complete waste of 500 dollars

Works perfect stronger than expected, I try to use less lethal if someone's coming to attack me with a knife or a baseball bat or a group of people, the one with the pepper spray balls and tear gas are perfect.
