Eaglemoss Publications Star Trek Starships Figurine Collection Magazine #8 The USS Excelsior NCC-2000

This is exactly what my adult son wanted for Christmas, great quality and detailing.

Love the concept and nostalgia but what you actually get is this cheap assembly line mass produced little ship that has the worst display that wraps forks onto the back of the saucer section.I bought a lot of these and they are simply not worth it. Quality is on par with a plastic toy and most of the Eagle Moss marketing images for these look NOTHING like what you actually get - at least with the smaller (non XL) versions.So Im torn. Love the concept but these are just glorified little toys with assembly line detailing and a display stand that really detracts from the overall presentation but hey! Member berries!!!!

After the movie-era Enterprise refit, this is my second-favorite Star Trek ship. As such, I poked and prodded around at a bunch of different desktop-size models before settling on one -- and, this was a good call. This is a great sculpt with amazing detail both in machined and painted-on detail. The display stand isn't as obtrusive as I feared it would be, although I wish the line & stands were built in a way that allows for variation in display (NB the Johnny Lightning line, whose version of the NCC-1701 Enterprise I prefer over the Eaglemoss Starships line).

The item was delivered on time, was packaged well, and was exactly what I was expecting. It is slightly smaller than some of the other starship figurines, due to the length of the Excelsior class' warp nacelles and the constraints of the box. All of these ships are very nice replicas--the only one that I have really been disappointed with is the Enterprise NCC-1701 refit, which needs some of the "Aztec" pattern on the hull to look right. This is shipped with the magazine as well, and both were in great condition. These ships would be a great gift for any Star Trek fan on your list.

Aside from the model being a bit on the small side compared to some of the others (probably due to its length versus its width and height), I was a bit disappointed with the quality on this one. There are a lot of areas of detail that were apparently missed during the paintob, especially on the underside of the saucer and on the rear of the engineering hull. Still, it's a nice model and a pretty good reproduction.

This toy comes with a book, the black stand and a clear plastic holder for the Excelsior Class Star Ship. The detail is epic it looks like its from strait from the Early Star Trek movie. This is a smaller version of the other Excelsior Class Star Ship compared to this one that is also made by Hot Wheels.

Nice little decoration for my shelf I could get a lot more of these.
