Sara Stedy Compact
The Sara Stedy Compact is an excellent mobility aid that truly stands out for both its high-quality construction and ease of use. It is clearly designed with both caregivers and patients in mind. One of the first things you notice is the solid build quality. The frame feels extremely sturdy and well-engineered, providing confidence and safety during transfers. The materials are durable and easy to clean, which is especially important in home care and medical environments. Despite its strength, the unit is compact and easy to maneuver, making it ideal for smaller rooms or tighter spaces. Where the Sara Stedy Compact really shines is in its simplicity and efficiency. The design allows a caregiver to assist someone from a seated to standing position quickly and safely with minimal physical strain. The footplate, knee support, and hand grips are all positioned perfectly to help the user naturally shift into a standing position. This makes transfers—from bed to chair, chair to toilet, or wheelchair to another surface—much smoother and safer. For caregivers, it significantly reduces the risk of back strain or injury, while for the person being assisted it promotes dignity, comfort, and a feeling of independence. The intuitive design means there is very little learning curve, and it can be used confidently even by someone new to mobility aids. Overall, the Sara Stedy Compact is a thoughtfully designed, high-quality transfer aid that improves safety and efficiency for both the caregiver and the user. If you're looking for a reliable standing and transfer solution that is durable, compact, and easy to use, the Sara Stedy Compact is an outstanding choice.

This piece of equipment will help your caregivers SO MUCH!!
This is a game changer for elderly with transfer problems!! My father is in stage 5 Parkinson's and he has good upper body strength but legs and knees are very compromised. He has freezing episodes and going from recliner to wheelchair to the toilet can take all his energy, plus he's 240 pounds and caregivers can not move him safely. This has made our care for him so much better, It's worth the investment for the all of us. It came assembled and is extremely easy to use. Extremely well made, sturdy and easy to clean.

Sara gives a person using a wheelchair a different perspective of the world. Good for the heart.
Shame it's not covered by insurance, I didn't try to submit it, just bought it. Have used it for about 3 years. My wife goes to physical therapy twice a week and we load it up into the van. The physical therapist backs "Sara" to my wife's wheelchair. Everything gets locked down, then my wife raises her arms to "Sara's" bar and lifts herself up (maybe with some assistance) then two flaps behind her are put in place. She then sits back on the flaps which formed a seat. Yes, she is not standing, but almost. It's healthy for her to almost stand. Then she stands and sits and stands and sits... Good physical activity. While sit standing she has to pull in a thick and I mean thick rope about 45 feet long with a 20-pound weight on the end. We generally don't use "Sara" at home. It has to have a clearance of about 4 1/2 inches for support legs to go under. Sofa doesn't provide enough clearance. Our bed has that clearance, but carpet interferes. We wanted to check it out before purchasing and went to a local rehab unit to try it out, but they would not allow us to. You had to be a patient, just in case anything went wrong. So, I purchased it on Amazon with a 30 day right of return. Well, we kept it and I don't regret it. Some upper body strength is needed, but with using a gait belt around my wife's waist helps to pull her up. It's not needed all of the time but comes in handy.

Great for help with mobility.
This item I used in a hospital and fell in love with how easy it was to pull myself up for transport. It’s very well made and very expensive but worth the price for how well it helps with my physical therapy at home.
