Chain Hook 3/8" Galvanized Steel

Amazing strength and quality. Have only used it at the dock so far, so can only give it 4 stars. Expect it will earn 5 when we get seriously on the hook.

I've used a lot of chain hooks over the years this one is the best. Up to now the the Wichard has been my favorite but the retaining pin would bend on occasion and had to be straightened. Plus the 52,000 pound of the Defever 44 was asking a little mutch of it. We are ar anchor 200 days a year and need a reliable hook that does not fall off. This one doesn't.One of the thing I really like is it is heavy. Because of its wight it acts as a kelet (sentnal) as well as a hook.

Very big (but strong). The plastic cover bends. I tried this a few times and went with a different model.

This is one big hunk of metal. I wanted a chain hook for my catamaran that would not fall off the chain and be easy to attach. It took a few attempts to learn the optimum procedure on how to hook it up to my anchor chain and snubber since the anchor locker is not on the bow. However, now that the learning curve is finished, we have little problem hooking up and I rest assured that the snubber will remain attached through high winds and no wind.

There is no better bridle hook on the market. This Mantus hook is much easier to work with than the traditional tiny hooks you find on bridles.

No more regular chain hook falling off my anchor bridle. This is the best thing since sliced bread, I sleep much better at night now.

I used it this past season in the Chesapeake and had no problems. It worked great.
