Good Router for the price.
Good router at a good price, fairly easy to setup except for the USB media server, not as friendly to setup the media server as another router that I had been using. Had to go on internet to find instructions on how to make it work correctly, some media was there and some was missing, but only as far as the server was concerned because if you hooked drive to a PC all files were there. How ever I was using VLC media player to access data and that was the main issue, but I did find workaround settings as previously stated and it all works OK now. Bought a second one to make a mesh network and that worked great and was easy to setup. Signals went from 20MHz-50MHz to 150MHz-250MHz, you're speeds may vary.

Great Modern Router (High Processing Power)
Yay. I love my new router. I have a lot of smarthome devices, and I host a home web/game server for work. I was very afraid that my port forwarding/dynamic DNS and smarthome would be a pain to migrate to a new router. I was wrong. I used the same network name and password as my old router, and all of my devices reconnected fine (except one chinese security camera which i fixed after). The range is as decent as my old Netgear Nighthawk R7000. The lower frequencies (2.4ghz) have higher range and are better for that. But for processing power of a router, this is it baby. This thing increased my network speed by ~100mbps down and also decreased my latency, pretty impressive. This thing will easily be able to handle all of my smart home devices, server needs and gaming/streaming needs. I think it was a worthy upgrade from my 13yr old router. Quick setup tip: make sure to power down your modem and router first, because your modem is expecting the previous routers MAC address, so you might have to call your ISP and have them send a reboot signal from their end to get your modem to accept the new router MAC address. Other than that, setup was a breeze. Dynamic DNS works well, port forwarding was easy, and there are SO many features I haven't even looked into yet. I also have a TP-LINK network switch, and the router and switch are playing nicely together. All and all, I had netgear routers for like 20 years and they were great, i'm pleased to say that TP-LINK is also great, time will tell though.

Lacking in 2.4ghz Capability
Nice router, great connection.\nSpeeds are good if you have 5g or 6g. It does not do well to connect 2.4 g, many times the network is not responding. When things are on 2.4ghz. advertisement says it's backwards compatible down, but it is lacking in this capability.

Impressive Specs, Disappointing 2.4GHz Range โ TP-Link's Firmware is a Disaster
I really wanted to love this router. The TP-Link Archer BE9700 (also sold as BE600) has impressive specs on paper โ Wi-Fi 7 speeds up to 9.7 Gbps, a 10G port, nice multi-gig LAN ports, and claims of covering up to 2,600 sq ft with support for 120 devices. In reality, it fell short for my needs. I have a centrally located router in a rectangular house, but my Blink cameras (about 100 feet away through an interior wall and exterior wall with a bay window) get poor, unreliable signal on the 2.4GHz band. The 2.4GHz radio on this router is noticeably weak compared to my previous, cheaper router. I updated from firmware 1.1.1 to 1.2.5, and TP-Link's firmware completely wiped all my settings. I had to spend over an hour on my phone reconfiguring the entire router from scratch. The "up to 2,600 sq ft" coverage claim feels very optimistic. It seems based on ideal conditions with mostly 5/6GHz devices in an open space. Real-world 2.4GHz range for legacy devices is disappointing. If you're mostly using modern Wi-Fi 6E/7 devices close to the router and want fast 6GHz performance, this might work. But if you need solid 2.4GHz range for IoT devices, look elsewhere.

Best router for price right now!
I bought this as my 3rd Tp-Link router. I replaced an older Archer AX-55, which is working perfectly well, to upgrade for the WiFi 7 & MLO technology. The connectivity to my devices are excellent. It connects even better to the Chamberlain garage door opener which is detached from my house, which is about 70โ away, through multiple walls. The AX-55 lost the connection more than it was connected. This new model has solved the range issue. Since this is my 3rd Tp router I am well familiar with the app & setup which was a seamless. I have never paid for any of the Home Shield extras, so I canโt speak on those optional subscription features. I do have a VPN which is quite easy to install on the router via a token, so that all connected devices benefit from VPN encryption and security. It took longer to peel the protective plastic off of the antennas than it did to get it up and running. My only minor quibble is that the USB port is on the right side instead of hidden in the back with the other ports. Iโm a big fan of Tp-Link products and will continue to purchase, as long as the US government doesnโt ban the company from selling in the USA. This is the most feature-packed WiFi router, at the best price, at this time. Get you one!!

Extremely fast but has issues with connectivity
This is a pretty powerful router with some pros and cons. Pros: fastest router that I have had, both for wireless and direct connections I'm getting faster than 1 GB transfers. Was fairly easy to set up with lots of extra features including the choice of having a 2.4, 5 GHz and 6. Cons: Connectivity is not the best I've ever had. Things drop off and then back on and then drop off sporadically during the day. This could be for a few reasons though it seems to happen regardless of which network I use the slower to the fastest. I've managed to stabilize it a little bit better with firmware updates and organizing what's on the 2.4 and what's on the 5 GHz but even if things are close to it, there's still a lot of disconnect and reconnections which Rex havoc with some of my govee wireless switches and some devices. Changing channels made it a little better but still has consistency issues. Much better than what it was but it's still there. It could be a technical issue that I'm not aware of or settings cuz there's a lot and you can go pretty deep down the rabbit hole. Even though I'm pretty technically savvy there's still some things that I easily could have missed. My house is rather large but the inconsistency is not a distance issue. Final comment: A very fast relatively easy to set up router that if you are getting high bandwidth from your internet service provider or you want to transfer documents whether wired or wireless from one device to another, it has excellent speed. Downsides are it could be getting interference from multiple wireless networks in my area and multiple channels being used. Not really sure if that's it or if there's something particularly wrong with this device but when it's working and you have a solid connection it's the fastest router I've had and it's mostly consistent on 5 GHz, 2.4 seems to be sporadic.

*FAR -F A R better than expected*Absolutely worth every penny
Have this in operation now for 5 days and is F A R better than expected. It has a cell phone range to about 350' radious from window to barn-their is a reduction when in the house diagonally thru 4 walls,a frig down to 3 bars to my laptop which still gets 1G speed! We do not need the repeators as previously thought to reach thru house to farm shed 300' ft away. It was an easy set-up but more complicated since we don't have cell service here but included instructions for tethering off to ISP equipment went successfull with first attempt-hu ray!!! KEEP your created access codes handy and kept in a paper password book. This farm is much impress and HIGHLY recommends this TP-Link router/we us fiber now.

Don't expect any signal improvement
I'm not impressed with this router. The signal strength is lower than what it was with my previous Nighthawk router. It's OK, but was hoping for signal improvement with their beam-forming antennas. Instead, signal strength declined, and the location was not moved.

Good quality, little issue with having third party.
It is good quality, and wifi 6 can reach as far as 25 meters inside concrete building. drawbacks for me, i have to control it through a third party, and multiple of subscription options. It realy did not feel private at all.

Great wifi7 router at a great price - note US plug
Good signal with optional IoT network, well made, good value. Easy to use. Integrates with TPlink app which works well. Highly recommended for WiFi 7 on a budget. Note comes with US plug, so needs a UK plug separately
