3M 39008 Headlight Lens Restoration System - Case of 4

So i bought this to use on a 2010 Honda Jazz, the headlights were cloudy and with the MOT looming, i though ill give this a go. I was a bit sceptical as to results this product may or may not deliver, and i was a bit unsure about scuffing up a set of headlights, but given if they faild MOT it was a £250 bill to replace them why not try.I was suitably impressed the instructions a clear and easy to follow, the 2 pads appear to be impregnated with a cutting agent that is activated by water, The first one clears away all of the old lacquer coating that has degraded, this took about 15min per light. I then cleaned the headlights and started with the second finer pad working at 90 degrees to the first rubdown, i spent about 45 min per light and did a couple of rinse and clean offs in between to check progress,after the final clean off you then go over the lights with what looks like a wet wipe that gives the lights a protective coatingI was very impressed with results, the headliights have gone from a cloudy worning lens to near flawless, with the lights on you can see some minor scratches if you at the right angle, i just with id taken a before and after.a really good product and worth a go before replacing headlights

I bought this ages ago but finally got around to sorting my headlights as they were really yellow. Simple instructions that are easy to follow. Great results! Let's see how long it lasts

I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact being there isn't enough sand papers for two headlights unless your purchase two kits or have very small lights. So it took a huge amount of effort to get the second headlight in a reasonable state to apply the coating. The first headlight was super easy to do and looks great.

i dont have a before andf after but my 08 mini clubman now looks better than my neighbours 2018 cooper, amazing what the right product and a bit of elbow grease can do

Great product cleaned up the headlights on my 15 year old car perfectly but you will need some paper towels 🧻 masking tape and more importantly a microfibre cloth

Highly recomend!Really easy to use,just be patient and conscientious when wet sanding polish.Without tape masking it tooks in total about an hour per lamp.You can see the efects.Regards.

Far to toxic ie breathing problems if you don’t use a mask damage to paintwork if you don’t mask the paintwork off etc etc

Interesting product. Got most of the hazing/yellowing off the lights on volvo, looks much better, however some remained no matter how much effort used. May be worth buying 3M bigger more expensive kit if your headlights are quite badly hazed/yellow. Either that or the other hazing/yellowing was in the inside of the lens!
