Playmobil Christmas Room with Illuminating Tree Advent Calen

so cute and very well loved this christmas season! spoiler alert, the light up christmas tree comes in the very last day of the calendar. because our grandkids were only visiting for a week, we cheated and took the tree out on day one so we could all enjoy it. this kit has so many cute little pieces - very detailed and lots of surprises that the kids just loved. i thought it was better than the lego calendars, which we've had a few of over the years.

This was our first advent toy purchase. My youngest daughter had wanted for the past couple of years. When she brought it up again this year, I figured she Was serious. I am a huge playmobil fan. Every set is so detailed. This set was exceptional. Although it was for my youngest, her 3 older siblings came running every morning to see what she had gotten. She was willing to share the experience, and they had so much fun. Beautiful set! I couldn't see anyone not being happy with it.

I bought this for me. When I was a child, I never got any Playmobil stuff. My friend had a lot and I was always so enthralled. So now I'm a grown-up and can get what I want! I loved the process of pulling out part of the set each day. It's full of all kinds of little bits and pieces (perhaps that's why my mother never bought me any). The only thing that I didn't love was that there wasn't really a surprise because I know what the entire set was going to look like when I was done. The scene is depicted on the box, so I can't think of any way to surprise kids either. But it's not candy and at the end of the month, you have a lovely set of Playmobil. I'll reuse the scene next year and perhaps buy the Advent calendar that has the woodland creatures with Santa. PS: I also love that this is a gender-neutral toy, even if the box is pink.

This is our second Playmobil advent calendar (first was the equally great North Pole workshop), and we were all happy with this one. Our four-year-old son loved the plastic gift boxes, the variety of gifts, the furniture and decorations and the light-up tree - ideal for Christmas Eve magic.Great bang for the Advent calendar buck, and the sweet nativity scene let us discuss the story of Jesus (we're a secular family, and it was a great way to share why so many people find meaning in Jesus Christ's life).

Very disappointed this was ordered for my 9 year old granddaughter. Two of the days were empty, took the calendar apart, thinking the pieces were dislodged and in the box. They were not. My granddaughter was very unhappy.

It's great that on Amazon you can buy previous year Playmobil advent calendar especially when you don't like the current year's model. Absolutely nothing on here shows that it is the 2015 release. If you go to Playmobil's site, you can see current models. The tree is the last door to open, and it lit up for us when we pressed down the button. It won't stay on unless pressed. Tree ornaments were in a door about 10 days earlier than the 24th, so expect to open a door with toys you can't use right away. The small gift box top and bottom fit snug together making a good toy to use during the year. The candle stick decorations can easily fall out of the table top decoration. The cardboard room is ok. It was somewhat unleveled, which can be fixed by bending the cardboard tabs. The wall decoration advent calendar just sits (vs clicks) on the clear shelf you insert in the cardboard room wall, which means it easily falls off.

Most of the daily items are small and lame. Other Playmobil Advent Calendars are better.

This item was cardboard! Other than the 3 little people and ridiculously minuscule pieces...what a waste of money.
