how to install so it doesnt leak?

First, make sure the rubber o-ring is good - the filter I received had a deformed o-ring and would not seal properly. I missed the return/exchange window unfortunately. If you have the old filter and the o-ring is not damaged, you can carefully remove the old o-ring and use it on this new filter. That's what I did. It's a finicky fit - there is a (hard to see) arrow on the handle that will line up with the (VERY hard to see) arrow on the filter housing. I colored mine with a sharpie so they were easier to see. Line up the arrows exactly, then screw in the filter. I think it's a full turn, maybe 2. Mine had a slight "click" when the filter was seated properly. After correcting the o-ring issue and making sure it "clicked" (likely the o-ring making the seal in the housing) it worked fine and did not leak. Hope this helps. I took a couple photos of the arrows but don't see a way to attach them here unfortunately.
