Spigen Rugged Armor Designed for Moto Z3 / Moto Z3 Play Case (2018) - Black

This case is surprisingly durable considering the cost. Corners definitely take shocks well and little raised "legs" on back keep it from sitting flat against surfaces, which has definitely helped with the occasional spill or two. The cut out for the fingerprint scanner is actually far better than the one on my previous case and easily lines up and gives enough room to wipe the scanner if it gets greasy/dusty without needing to remove the case. It is a bit of a snug fit, which is good, but putting on mods requires a bit of forethought or a nice table to work on. If you're like me and only use a handful of mods (battery pack and speaker) and only use them occasionally, then this, coupled with a screen protector, is a great buy. I wanted something minimal for my Z3 Play and this case nailed it. Alignment with the camera, fingerprint reader, USB port, volume/power buttons and microphone holes is perfect. The feel of the rubber buttons is just right and almost like pressing the actual phone buttons without a case. There is a raised lip around the screen to prevent contact when placed face down. Even with the raised lip there is still sufficient space for a glass screen protector. Small feet on the rear corners allow the phone to lay flat and solid on a tabletop. The overall feel is fantastic with good grip but not a sticky dust magnet. The case slides easily into a pocket. After a few months of use, the case shows zero signs of wear.

On a different phone, I had a silicone case that became stretched out after just a couple months. This case by SPIGEN has retained its shape and does not fall off at all. It fits well, even with a glass screen protector and is not too bulky. The gold pins on the back are covered to protect them (I have not personally seen a case that works with the MODs - besides the MODs are rather expensive for what they are). I have dropped my phone on various surfaces (concrete, tile, wood, etc.) and it has protected the phone perfectly. No cracks or chips. Buttons work well - operate effortlessly. My only complaint is that the shape of the indent for the fingerprint reader makes it prone to accidental opening (but that's more an issue of the phone itself).

I wrap my middle finger around the side of the phone from the back to unlock. It works flawlessly.There are raised corners on the back (to protect the camera?). I have nerve problems in my hands and can't hold on to things very well, so this is a major inconvenience for me. I can't overlook it, and it weighs heavily on my scoring. It needs a better texture.)

I liked the rugged yet soft-sturdy material it's made with, at glance it provides a sense of comfort knowing your device will have a nice shock absorber case. The carbon fiber look on the back with its details stand out even though they are minimal. It doesn't make your device feel or look bulky by adding the few milimiters of thickness on the edges and yet you feel the cushion quality on its material. Buttons' relief are well placed and do not hinder button function, same goes with fingerprint cut-out area, Motorola emblem and camera frame. I have found no issues with it so far. Great price, design and quality.

Iʼve purchased several Spigen phone cases in recent years, and theyʼve always met or exceeded my expectations. This case for my Moto Z³ Play has been another winner: Itʼs thin and light yet grippy and protective. I've dropped my Z³ Play a few times onto tile and laminate floors, and the case has done its job admirably—no dings, scratches, or cracks.Obviously, the case is designed for “light duty,” everyday drops; I donʼt expect it to save my phone from falling three stories onto broken concrete, etc. But for typical butterfingers moments, itʼs excellent.The Z³ Playʼs fingerprint sensor is on the right side of the phone, and the Spigen case is notched perfectly there, with a slight curve that guides my finger into the correct position. The opening at the bottom for the USB C connector is also wide enough to accommodate all the cable tips Iʼve tried on it.This is another Spigen product that Iʼm pleased to recommend.

My Verizon dealer gave me a good price on the phone (Moto z3) if I took out a new line, so I did -- and saved %50. (Besides, I was starting to get too many robo-calls on the old line.) He wanted to sell me a case for $40, a glass screen for another $40, and if I wanted the moto battery pack, $80. In a moment of weakness I offered $120 for the package but his manager couldn't budge even a bit! So I bought this one online for about $10. It looks like a decent cover to me, covers the edges but not the screen. Of course, if you want to use a moto mod you have to take it off, but that's not a big deal, and the mod (especially the battery pack) essentially acts as a protector anyway. So unless it falls apart, it's got 5 stars.

Perfect fit. The protection for the back camera can use another mm of protrusion. Matte feel is nice to the grip. The front is vanilla look, which is the way I like it -- nondescript; would not attract attention of would-be thieves.The carbon fiber design at the back makes it less boring than other plain black rubber case. The buttons are alright, I have no problem even with the fingerprint sensor.I don't like the hole showing the Motorola logo. I also wish the Spigen logo is smaller and less prominent. But it's just me nitpicking.All in all, a very good product. Worth the price. (Oh, I wish it comes in navy blue.)

Excelente calidad y acabados. Funda cómoda y delgada. Había comprado marca J&D pero a pesar de tener un precio menor, vale la pena pagar más por Spigen. Recomendable.

Definitely works with the Moto z3 play. Feels very comfortable and doesn't add any noticeable bulk on the phone, it simply improves handling of a slippery phone and protects it from drops for sure. Charging and plugging in earphones is not a problem, using the side fingerprint sensor is also not a problem and feedback from pressing the volume and power buttons is excellent.

Es una carcasa gruesa y con un buen diseño. La cámara que sobresale en este modelo de Motorola se encuentra bien protegida a su alrededor. El material es de buena calidad, ni muy duro ni muy blando. Los botones laterales y el lector de huellas no presentan ningún problema al ser usados. Se me ha caído dos veces y no ha sufrido ni un rasguño. Para el precio que tiene es la mejor de las que he comprado hasta ahora.
